Abstract:
An educational fluid flow observation and measuring system, primarily a functional apparatus, which is designed to serve as an educational aid. The apparatus can be considered to consist of two major components: fluid circulation system and a fluid observation and measuring apparatus. The fluid circulation system is self-contained and is designed to pump a fluid, such as water, at a controllable flow rate from a sump to and through the observation and measuring apparatus and to return the fluid to the sump for recirculation. The observation and measuring apparatus contains various means for measuring and studying hydraulic and fluid flow principles and includes control devices for varying fluid inlet and outlet openings and a manually adjustable mechanism to permit the vertical variation of the fluid flow channel.

The present invention relates to substituted triazoles of formula (I), uses thereof, processes for the preparation thereof and compositions containing said compounds. These inhibitors have utility in a variety of therapeutic areas including sexual dysfunction.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed towards a method for making a healthy snack food having an appearance and taste similar to conventional fried snack products without the use of an oil-frying process. The method of the present invention includes the steps of providing food slices from a starch-based food or dough. The food slices can be blanched and a controlled amount of oil can be added to enhance final organoleptical properties. The food slices are then rapidly dehydrated to a much lower moisture content in a primary drying step that simulates conventional frying dehydration rates. A food snack, such as a corn or potato-based snack, produced by this method is a low-fat, ready-to-eat snack having the conventional texture and taste associated with fried snack products.

Various embodiments of the invention may provide a method for operating a REST web service operable to search one or more data sources. In some embodiments, the invention may comprise receiving a query directed to a first data source, wherein the first data source defines at least one characteristic of at least one first data object returned by the query. Some embodiments of the invention may comprise querying the first data source. Various embodiments of the invention may comprise receiving at least one first data object from the first data source in response to querying the first data source. In some embodiments, the invention may comprise retrieving linked relationships between the at least one first data object and one or more second data objects from a second data source. Some embodiments of the invention may comprise querying the second data source for information on the one or more second data objects. Various embodiments of the invention may comprise receiving the one or more second data objects from the second data source in response to querying the second data source. In some embodiments, the invention may comprise generating a composite data object in response to the received query, the composite data object including the at least one first data object and the one or more second data objects formatted as markup language, wherein the markup language contains embedded functionality therein.
Abstract:
There is disclosed an integrated project management and risk management system. A risk processor has access to a project data store containing a plurality of inter-related project actions used for project management purposes, and a risk data store which contains a plurality of inter-related project activities and associated risk indicators used for related risk management purposes. The risk processor is operable to generate and write to the risk data store changes to the project activities and risk indicators reflecting changes in the project actions, to generate or receive mitigating activities identified to reduce or prevent a risk or the consequences of a risk associated with a project activity and to write corresponding project action changes to the project data store.
Abstract:
The invention is directed to pyridazinone compounds and pharmaceutical compositions containing such compounds that are useful in treating infections by hepatitis C virus.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system and methodology providing a virtual “namespace” architecture between client and server components in an industrial automation environment, wherein the namespace can be a structured store of logical names, instances and definitions, together with access and modification components. An Active Directory Service Interface (ADSI) family can be employed, for example, to navigate and access the namespace structure and contents. The present invention employs the concept of a “service” to encapsulate server-side behavior accessed through the namespace. Thus, logical names can be utilized to decouple client components from the physical location and implementation of server components. Some services, known as “basic services”, may ignore the logical container structure exposed by an area model in a namespace. By contrast, services which utilize an area context and a set of named service items to interact with clients can be referred to as “namespace extensions.” Further, services known as “context services” may use the area model to scope and control accesses, yet not employ a service item namespace organized by the area model.
Abstract:
An X-ray tube housing with integrated cooling passages in the walls of the X-ray tube housing, through which a liquid or gas coolant is circulated and the heat is transferred from the X-ray tube housing to an external cooler. The integrated cooling passages are created around the perimeter of the X-ray tube housing as the X-ray tube housing is formed. For a rotating anode X-ray tube using an oil coolant, the path of heat transfer is from the anode to the glass insert and oil by the means of radiation. The oil that is in contact with the glass insert conducts heat away form the insert to the X-ray tube housing which is then cooled by the integrated cooling passages located within the X-ray tube housing through which fluid is passed to an external fluid cooling system.
