    Abstract: Method and machine (14) to manufacture a coil (11) around a component (1) of an article. It is provide to: move, by means of a main conveyor ((1155)) and along an assembling path (P), a carriage (16) provided with a seat (18) designed to house the component (1); place, in an input station (SI) arranged along the assembling path (P), the component (1) in the seat (18) of the carriage (16); wind, in a winding station (S5) arranged along the assembling path (P) downstream of the input station (SI), an externally insulated conductor wire (13) around the component (1) in order to obtain a series of turns making up the coil (11); lock an initial end of the wire (13) to the carriage (16) before starting to wind the wire (13); and lock a final end of the wire (13) to the carriage (16) at the end of the winding of the wire (13).

    Abstract: A method for the production of an article in an automatic machine operating by means of a succession of operating cycles. The production method comprises the steps of: moving, at the beginning of a first operating cycle, a carriage provided with at least one seat configured to accommodate a component by means of a main conveyor and along a processing path; stopping, during the first operating cycle, the carriage in a loading station; inserting, during the first operating cycle, the component into the seat while the carriage is standing still in the loading station; checking, at the end of the first operating cycle, whether the component is actually present in the seat; moving, at the beginning of a second operating cycle, the carriage from the loading station to a following station, only if, at the end of the first operating cycle, the first component is actually present in the seat; keeping, at the beginning of the second operating cycle, the carriage in the loading station, if, at the end of the first operating cycle, the seat still lacks the component; and inserting, during the second operating cycle, the first component into the seat while the carriage is standing still in the loading station, if, at the end of the first operating cycle, the seat still lacks the component.

    Abstract: A pack of smoking articles having: a container; an inner wrap enclosing a group of smoking articles housed in the container; a hinged lid movable between open and closed positions; a collar glued on the inside of the container so as to partially project out of an open top end and engage a corresponding inner surface of the lid when the lid is in a closed position; a slider firmly connected to the lid and coupled in a sliding manner to the container so as to slide relative to the container; and a locking system interposed between the container and the slider and, in the closed position of the lid, prevents the slider from sliding relative to the container. The hindering of the slider can be deactivated by external action of the user who elastically deforms at least part of the front wall of the container.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a pack of electrically heated cigarettes, which comprises a container and a lid hinged one another; wherein the container comprises a top chamber which houses a group of cigarettes, a bottom chamber and a dividing wall, which divides the top chamber from the bottom chamber; and wherein a drawer is provided, which is arranged in the area of the bottom chamber and can slide between a closed position, in which the drawer is completely arranged inside the container and an open position, limited by a limit stop device, in which the drawer is partially pulled out of the container; the distance between the dividing wall and the top wall of the lid when the latter closes the top opening of the container, being between 4.5 and 5.5 centimetres; and the distance between the bottom wall of the drawer, when the latter is in the relative closed position, and the dividing wall being between 3.5 centimetres and 4.5 centimetres.

    Abstract: A method and a device for the ultrasonic welding of a first component to a second component of an electronic cigarette cartridge, wherein both components are made of a plastic material; the device includes an ultrasound generator, which delivers an electric pulse to a vibrating assembly, which, in turn, includes a converter designed to turn the electric pulse into a mechanical vibration movement and transfers it to a sonotrode, which directly transmits the energy in the form of vibrations to the two components to be welded; the sonotrode is designed so as to simultaneously weld a plurality of first components to the respective second components and cooperates with a plurality of striker elements, each associated to a respective first component and to a respective second component to be welded; and wherein each striker element is connected to a sensor, which is designed to detect a parameter of the welding process carried out to weld the first component to the second component and to control the welding process carried out to weld the first component to the second component based on the parameter.
