A manufacturing machine and a method for producing a cartridge for an electronic cigarette comprising a supporting base, a pair of power electrodes fitted to the supporting base, and a heating member folded into a ‘U’ around the power electrodes are disclosed: a conveyor comprising a pocket for feeding the supporting base fitted with the power electrodes along a conveying path; a connecting unit which connects the heating member to the power electrodes while the supporting base, fitted with the power electrodes, is housed inside the pocket on the conveyor; a welding device located along the conveyor to weld a pair of terminals of a heat resistor of the heating member to the corresponding power electrodes; and a folding device, which cooperates with the connecting unit and folds the heating member into a ‘U’ before the heating member is connected to the power electrodes.
Abstract:
Method and machine to carry out a control on a group of articles. An initial conveyor is configured to move the articles along an initial path, which starts in an input station; a final conveyor is configured to move the articles along a final path, which is parallel and next to the initial path and ends in an output station; a control unit is configured to carry out a simultaneous control of all articles of the group of articles; a first transferring device is configured to simultaneously transfer the whole group of articles to be controlled from the initial conveyor to the control unit; and a second transferring device is configured to simultaneously transfer the whole group of articles controlled by the control unit to the final conveyor.
Abstract:
A manufacturing machine and method for the production of a cartridge for an electronic cigarette can include a first assembling drum which is mounted rotatable around a first rotation axis and has at least one first seat which is designed to house a tube and a second seat which is axially aligned with the first seat and is designed to house a support of a heating device; a first feeding station in which a tube is fed into the first seat; a second feeding station in which a support of a heating device is fed into the second seat; and a first welding station which is arranged downstream of the first feeding station and of the second feeding station and is provided with a first welding device, which, through a welded joint, connects a tube carried by the first seat to a support carried by the second seat.
Abstract:
A manufacturing machine and method for producing a cartridge for an electronic cigarette includes a first assembling drum mounted rotatable around a first rotation axis and has a first seat to house a support of a heating device coupled to a wick with an electrical coil, and a second seat axially aligned with the first seat and designed to house a tank. At a first feeding station, a support of a heating device coupled to a wick with an electrical coil is fed into the first seat. At a second feeding station, a tank is fed into the second seat. A first insertion station is arranged downstream of the first and second feeding stations and provided with a first pushing device, which axially moves the support of a heating device from the first seat to the second seat to insert the support into a tank carried by the second seat.
Abstract:
A manufacturing machine and method for the production of a cartridge for an electronic cigarette can include at least one movable plate, where at least one first seat is present, which is designed to house a support of a heating device, and at least one second seat, which is axially aligned with the first seat and is designed to house a mouthpiece; an assembling conveyor to cyclically move the movable plate along an annular assembling path; a first feeding station arranged along the assembling path, in which a support of a heating device is fed into the first seat; a second feeding station arranged along the assembling path, in which a mouthpiece is fed into the second seat; and a transfer station, in which a support of a heating device and a mouthpiece are simultaneously removed from the movable plate.
Abstract:
Machine and method for producing electronic-cigarette cartridges; being provided: a fill conveyor which feeds bottom shells of the cartridges along a fill path; a filling device located along the fill path to feed a measure of a liquid substance downwards into each bottom shell; an assembly conveyor which feeds bottom shells along an assembly path; a transfer station where the bottom shells are transferred from the fill conveyor to the assembly conveyor; and at least a first assembly device located along the assembly path to fit each bottom shell with a corresponding top cap.
