Abstract: An open roof construction includes a roof opening in a stationary roof part and a panel that is movable between an open and closed positions. A moving mechanism moves a rear end of the panel and comprises a support lever having a first end which is slidable and rotatable with respect to the stationary roof part and an opposite second end slidably and rotatably engaging the movable panel. A drive slides the first end along the stationary roof part, and a tilting lever has a first tilting lever end slidably and rotatably engaging a first guide curve of the stationary roof part and an opposite second tilting lever end configured to rotatably engage the support lever at an engagement location. In all positions of the movable panel the engagement location, as viewed in the longitudinal forward direction of the vehicle, is located in front of the second support lever end.

Abstract: A locking mechanism is provided with a locking lever for driving a movable member in a first direction and for locking it in a predetermined position and an operating part for controlling the movement of the locking lever, with cooperating cams and guides for controlling the movement of the locking lever also in a second direction and retaining means for retaining the locking lever in a specific position after a movement in said second direction. The retaining means comprise a retaining member which is movable between a retaining position and a release position. The movement of the retaining member between the retaining and release positions and vice versa is a result of a movement of the operating part.

Abstract: An open roof construction includes a rollo screen and a winding shaft. The screen includes a screen edge which is attached to a stationary member. An operating beam on an opposite edge is movable parallel to the opening in correspondence with the amount of screen wound on or off the winding shaft. The screen has two longitudinal edges which, when the screen is wound off, are brought into engagement with holding members extending alongside the longitudinal edges of the roof opening. The holding members each comprise at least a groove having an elongated opening. An edge area near each edge of the screen is insertable into the respective groove together with a locking member clamping the screen in the groove. The locking member, the edge area of the screen and the groove having a shape and/or dimension preventing the locking member from unintentially leaving the groove through the entrance opening.

Abstract: An open roof construction for a vehicle includes a stationary part, a movable first panel and a second panel. The first panel is movably supported by an operating mechanism guided in one or more rails of the stationary part extending at least along a part of the inner roof edge of the opening and rearwardly thereof. The first panel is movable by at least a panel support and is capable of moving with respect to one of the rails and thereby displacing the first panel rearwardly above the second panel. The second panel and/or inner roof edge and/or the stationary part is provided with a deformable seal capable of sealing a gap between the second panel and the adjacent inner roof edge of the fixed roof. The panel support is adapted to deform the seal when it moves through the gap between the second panel and the inner roof edge.

The central part of the flexible sunscreen mainly is manufactured from a first material with a first stiffness wherein of the inwardly folded longitudinal edges and of the parts of the central part adjacent the edges at least part is made of a second material with a second higher stiffness.

Abstract: A sunshade assembly for use in a vehicle roof assembly comprises a flexible sunscreen having at least a central part and two opposed inwardly folded longitudinal edges connected to the central part by means of folding lines. A winding shaft for winding and unwinding the flexible sunscreen is provided at the trailing edge and an operating beam at the leading edge of the sunscreen. Two opposed longitudinal guides retain therein and guide corresponding ones of the folded longitudinal edges of the sunscreen. The guides are provided with locking members for engaging an outer end of the inwardly folded longitudinal edges for preventing these edges from moving out of the longitudinal guides when the sunscreen is at least partly unwound. The sunscreen includes at least two members which are each arranged substantially parallel to a respective longitudinal edge and which are buckle-stiff in a direction parallel to said longitudinal edge.
