摘要： The subject invention provides for a weatherstrip assembly for sealing between a frame and a closure member of a vehicle. The assembly includes a trim portion having a body and a flange extending from the body. The flange is capable of moving between an initial position and a final position. A seal extends from the body for abutting and sealing the closure member. An adhesive is disposed on the body for coupling the trim portion to the frame. The adhesive is disposed opposite the seal such that the seal extends away from the adhesive. A retaining member is selectively mounted to the flange and spaced from the adhesive for selectively engaging the frame to selectively hold the flange in the initial position relative to the frame. The retaining member is removed from the flange while concurrently moving the flange toward the final position.

摘要： A weatherstrip is attached to a peripheral flange of a roof panel for sealing against a peripheral edge portion of a tailgate. The weatherstrip includes a base portion and is mounted to the roof panel by receiving the roof panel flange between an interior section and exterior section of the base portion. A tongue extends from the base portion toward the vehicle body and covers a space between the roof panel and the vehicle body. A generally tubular seal body extends from the base portion toward the peripheral edge portion of the tailgate. The seal body seals against the tailgate to prevent wind noise by closing a gap between a roof panel and tailgate. An arm extends from the base portion and is positioned between the roof panel and the vehicle body and is attached to an underside of the roof panel.

摘要： A motor vehicle window panel has a peripheral trim molding formed by an extruded body of plastics material, and the body includes a mounting flange and a vehicle body sealing flange integrally connected by an intermediate connecting portion. The mounting flange carries a pressure sensitive contact adhesive tape which bonds to an inner surface of the window panel, and the intermediate connecting portion has an internal stabilizing strip and a durometer greater than the durometer of the mounting flange and of the sealing flange. The molding may be supported within a fixture for receiving the window panel or may carry a tear-off locating flange which slides against an edge surface of the window panel to locate the molding on the panel. The mounting flange may carry a spacer rib, and the mounting flange, sealing flange and connecting portion are located inwardly of the inner surface of the window panel.

The attaching base portion has a generally L-shaped cross-section, and includes a bottom wall and an exterior side wall. An elongation/shrinkage prevention portion is formed such that when the attaching base portion is curved in a direction of a width of the exterior side wall, a neutral axis of curvature is disposed at a position slightly offset toward a widthwise distal end of the exterior side wall from that portion of the exterior side wall continuous with the bottom wall. A double adhesive tape is bonded at least to that portion of an interior surface of the exterior side wall extending toward the distal end of the exterior side wall from a region at which a first hollow connecting portion of the hollow seal portion and the exterior side wall are interconnected.

摘要： A weather strip for a motor vehicle, which is capable of being attached to a flange provided in an opening portion of a vehicle body or a closing member for closing the opening portion irrespective of a configuration of the flange. The weather strip includes a base portion in which the flange provided in the opening portion or the closing member is adapted to be inserted, and a seal portion integrally formed with the base portion for sealing between the opening portion and the closing member. An extension wall extends from an end of an outer side wall of the base portion by way of a bending part. The extension wall is bonded to a body panel defining the opening portion or the closing member, which is adjacent to the flange, with a double-sided adhesive tape.
