Abstract:
A multi-staged gas turbine engine fuel supply system includes a plurality of fuel injectors and at least first and second staged fuel injection circuits in each of the fuel injectors. Each of the first and second staged fuel injection circuits includes first and second fuel injection points and at least first and second fuel nozzle valves operable to open at different first and second crack open pressures and controllably connected to the first and second staged fuel injection circuits, respectively. A single fuel supply manifold is connected to all of the fuel nozzle valves. A single fuel signal manifold is controllably connected to all of the first and second fuel nozzle valves. The fuel injector may have a valve housing with one of the first fuel nozzle valves and one of the second fuel nozzle valves contained therein.
Abstract:
A cutting device for the cutting and reduction of matter from a surgical site having a cutting head having an entry tip and three or more cutting blades positioned on opposed leading edges of a window formed through the interior of the cutting head. The window includes angled walls extending from each cutting blade along the circumference of the window. The cutting head is attached to a shaft for mounting the cutting device to a rotary surgical drill. The cutting head can also have a blade on the outer perimeter of the head. The matter is removed and further reduced as the cutting head is rotated at the surgical site. The geometry of the cutting head and entry tip can be varied for particular surgical procedures. The cutting device can also include a cannula or drill guard.
Abstract:
An optical fibre communications system includes an exchange (E) and a plurality of subscriber lines (1). The exchange (E) provides a plurality of services in different subcarrier frequencies (6,8,9,10). Each subscriber line (1) is provided with terminal apparatus (5) operable at different subscriber frequencies, and a control (11) at the exchange (E) tunes the terminal apparatus to transmit and/or receive on a particular frequency in response to a request. The request may be a signal from the terminal apparatus (5), or an incoming service request addressed to the particular terminal apparatus.
Abstract:
A convertible furniture article (1) can be configured alternatively to provide a bench-type seat, a picnic table or work bench, or a platform or staging. The article has a rigid base frame (2) which supports a seat (4) and a movable top structure that can serve as a table top (3), a platform, or a back rest associated with the seat. Two such articles can be juxtaposed in confronting relation to provide a picnic table. The article can be designed to provide seating for one or more individuals according to its size, and can also serve as a work bench or a desk with an adjustably inclinable top surface.
Abstract:
An electric oven which has a plurality of heating positions for controllably heating foodstuff thereon includes temperature selection means for locally and remotely selecting the heating temperature, and timing means for locally and remotely setting the heating duration of each of the heating positions, respectively. Display means are provided for selectively showing the remaining heating duration locally and remotely following setting of the timing means for the heating duration of the cooking positions, respectively, and switching means are employed for selectively turning the heating positions on and off in response to the respective preset heating durations.
Abstract:
The embodiments disclose an apparatus including a television monitor mount with a foldout portion and a predefined main body, a constant torque hinge on a plate having at least one handle configured to be affixed to a structure that can hold other plates and either contains or holds at least one device, VESA mounting holes or equivalent hole configurations with lockable positions using a locking mechanism, and wherein the foldout portion of the mount along with the main body is configured to mount to other mounts or similar devices.
Abstract:
A basket (10) comprising first and second side walls (16, 17) and first and second end walls (18, 19). Upper edges of the side and edge walls (16, 17, 18, 19) include a lip portion (22) and securing clips (34) are located adjacent lower sides of the lip portions (22). A retaining loop (32) is provided such that the retaining loop (32) is locatable around outer surfaces of the first and second side walls (16, 17) and the first and second end walls (18) to be received in the securing clips (34) to secure the first and second side walls (16, 17) and first and second end walls (18, 19) together to define an outer wall (12) of the basket (10).
