摘要: By providing a reusable support base or carrier which is constructed for being easily held by the user in the person's hand, and incorporating additives, therapeutic agents and/or medicinal components therein, a highly effective and easily employed, multi-purpose hand and/or skin cleaner, sanitizer, drug delivery, and exercise system is realized. Preferably, the support base or carrier is formed from soft, pliable, compressible and/or flexible material which is easily manipulated by the user in the person's hand or on the skin surface of other areas of the person's body. By employing selected additives or combinations thereof, a multi-purpose, highly effective, and unique hand or skin cleaning, sanitizing, and drug delivery system is realized in a system which also improves and enhances the individual's ability to obtain exercising of the hand.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide methods, systems and apparatus for managing back end problems at a server. Resources at a server may become unavailable for several reasons, for example, due to heavy traffic accessing the resource, errors while running applications, accessing databases, and the like. When requests for accessing such unavailable resources are received, the requests may be immediately failed upon receipt, thereby preventing the server from becoming bogged down with the processing of requests known to access the unavailable resource. Requests associated with available resources may be processed normally. Therefore, by preventing a server from processing requests associated with a known unavailable resource, server performance may be improved.

摘要: A product in the form of a segmented strip includes tabs to assist in dispensing individual segments from the strip. Segments of the strip are separated by lines of perforations running transverse to the strip. A tab of sufficient size to be easily grasped is adhesively secured to the strip across the line of perforations. The tab is positioned so that less than half of the area of the tab is disposed on the segment that is the first to be dispensed. The majority of the surface of the tab is disposed on a segment that will be subsequently dispensed. When the first segment is dispensed, the tab is retained on the next segment since the adhered surface on the next segment is greater. The exposed portion of the tab may then be readily located and grasped when the next segment is to be dispensed.

摘要: A recumbent cycling apparatus is provided that includes a frame structure, wheels rotatably attached to supporting the frame structure, and a central frame element configured to absorb and reduce the forces transmitted through the frame structure to a user. The frame structure has a front frame section and a back frame section that are substantially parallel to the ground. The central frame element is a curved elongated member composed of chromoly steel that is attached to the front frame section and the back frame section and extends therebetween. The central frame element is configured to allow the front frame section and the back frame section to move substantially independently in response forces exerted on the wheels. The central frame element is disposed in a substantially vertical plane above the back frame section and the front frame section and is substantially perpendicular thereto. A pair of recumbent seats are mounted on the back frame section in a side-by-side relationship. The cycling apparatus also has a control assembly configured to turn at least one of said plurality of wheels and a pedal-powered drive assembly to propel the cycling apparatus.

摘要: A gate assembly for a vertically pivoting gate includes a support and coil springs connected between the gate and the support to bias the gate toward a vertical, open position, as well as from the open position back to a horizontal, closed position. The springs are attached to the support, and cables extend from the springs to the gate. Sheaves mounted on the support engage the cables to induce the return bias in the springs to move the gate back to the closed position. The mounting for the sheaves includes a member engaging the gate to support the gate in a precisely vertical orientation when the gate is in the open position.
