    Abstract: Proposed is an earplug that can effectively reduce high-frequency noise using a metasurface. The high-frequency noise filtering earplug using a metasurface according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include an eartip with an internal passage, an interference attenuation module having a damping passage for reducing noise and a first reflective cavity that is connected to the damping passage and reflects incident sound waves and transmits the sound waves to the damping passage, and a connecting tube installed between the eartip and the interference attenuation module to connect the internal passage and the damping passage to each other.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an ear protection system (200) for a medical imaging device. It comprises an ear protection device (210), adapted to be fitted around or in the ears of a patient (P) to be imaged, and at least comprising a first communication interface (211) and at least one sensor device (212) adapted to determine a measurement of noise passing through the ear protection device (210) towards the ears of the patient. The system (200) further comprises a controllable signal emitter (230), adapted to output a proxy signal representing an expected imaging device noise and to be measured by the at least one sensor device (212), and a patient assistance device (220), adapted to assist the patient to fit the ear protection device (210), and at least comprising a second communication interface. During a preparation phase of the patient preceding an imaging phase using the medical imaging device, the ear protection device (210) and the patient assistance device (220) are communicatively connected to each other via the first and second communication interface, and the patient assistance device (220) generates assisting instructions to the patient depending on an evaluation of the proxy signal and the measurement of noise passing through the ear protection device (210) determined by the sensor device (212).

    Abstract: A foam earplug for reception at least partially within the ear canal and including a body portion formed of resilient foam plastic material having a multiple open cell structure and having a size and shape for at least partial reception within the ear canal. A transdermal material having a particular beneficial action, and with an outer layer of the foam earplug infused with the transdermal material so that the benefits of the transdermal material is in transdermal contact with the ear canal. One example is a humectant material and, specifically, a moisturizer/lubricating material, for providing an increase to the lubrication and moisturizing in the ear canal. A second example is where the beneficial action is provided by systemic distribution such as a sleep aid, i.e., Melatonin, so that when the earplugs are worn during sleep, the earplugs will provide a sleep aid to the wearer.

    Abstract: The present disclosure discloses an in-ear earplug structure, which comprises a hollow support body, wherein a sound hole is opened at a front end of the support body, an outer side of the support body is provided with at least two soft umbrella-shaped plug bodies, the support body and the umbrella-shaped plug bodies are integrally molded, a speaker unit is provided in the support body, a preset spacing is formed between the speaker unit and the sound hole, a rear sound cavity is formed in the support body, the rear sound cavity is located on the rear side of the speaker unit, and a through hole which is in communication with the rear sound cavity is opened at a side part of the support body. In the above structure, when the earplug is worn on an ear, the hard feeling caused by the earplug is greatly reduced, and the wearing comfort is effectively improved. Also, this makes the umbrella-shaped plug body better fit an ear canal, thereby improving the sound insulation effect. In addition, the support body and the umbrella-shaped plug bodies can be integrally processed and molded, making the earplug easier to manufacture and low in cost, which satisfies the needs of users and the market well.

    Abstract: An earbud includes a connection member, a regulating valve, an earbud body and a bladder. The connection member includes opposite first and second ends and defines a through hole extending through the first end and the second end. The regulating valve defines a flow channel therein and incudes a connection end and a working end. The connection end is tightly connected to the connection member, and the working end defines a flat adjustment opening. The flow channel communicates with the through hole of the connection member. The earbud body is mounted around the regulating valve and connected tightly to the connection member or the regulating valve. The earbud body defines a first cavity therein, and the bladder is tightly connected to the connection member and defines a second cavity for containing fluid therein. The second cavity communicates with the through hole of the connection member.
