    摘要: A method and an apparatus for detecting a frequency correction burst embedded in a signal which includes ordered samples. The method comprises the following: (a) correlating K sequences of the ordered samples with a predetermined waveform to produce K correlation outputs, each of the K correlation outputs corresponding to one of the K sequences, having a magnitude and being associated with an order index, K being an integer, the predetermined waveform corresponding to the frequency correction burst; (b) storing the K correlation outputs in a buffer according to the order indices; and (c) estimating a parameter based on the K correlation outputs, the parameter indicating detection of the frequency correction burst. The estimated parameter includes a frequency error and an ending time of a frequency correction burst. A quality metric associated with each frequency error is also computed.

    摘要: A relay host wireless device is paired with a target host wireless device over a secure link. The relay host wireless device is operable to acquire link security information, which is associated with a link between the target host wireless device and a wireless end-point device, from the target host wireless device. The relay host wireless device is enabled to establish a link with the target host wireless device by faking its identity as an assumed identity of the target host wireless device. The acquired link security information is applied to the established link. The relay host wireless device is enabled to relay content between the target host wireless device and the wireless end-point device via the established fake link using said assumed identity of the target host wireless device and the secure link between the relay host wireless device and the target host wireless device, successively.

    摘要: Direct detection of wireless interferers in a communication device for multiple modulation types. One or more radios implemented within a communication device is/are operative to receive and process wireless communications. A wireless communication signal is processed to extract symbols there from. Various symbols groups are processed in accordance with correlation processing to identify potential interferers (e.g., other communication devices using common portions of frequency spectra). Alternatively, matched filter processing (e.g., using a Barker matched filter in some embodiments) operates on the various symbol groups to identify some potential interferers. Various combinations of correlation processing and matched filter processing may be employed in other instances (e.g., using any of a desired means of comparison, combining, etc.) in considering interferers identified in accordance with each of these two means. Also, re-identification and re-characterization of possible interferers may be performed subsequently to remove or re-admit frequency spectra for use in communications.

Within a communication device that includes multi-protocol communication capability, the various radio modules included within such a communication device operate cooperatively such that collisions are avoided between those various radios. When a first of the radio modules operates as governed by a relatively rigid frame structure, a second of the radio modules capitalizes upon that predetermined nature (of the relatively rigid frame structure) to support communication during times in which that first radio module has a lower level of activity (e.g., turned off completely, within a power savings mode, in a sleep mode, etc.). The radio module operation is performed within a time-orthogonal manner, such that multiple radio modules are not attempting to transmit or receive simultaneously. Moreover, CTS2SELF operation can be employed alone or in conjunction with power savings operation of co-located radios within a communication device.

    摘要: Aspects of a method and system for transmit power control techniques to reduce mutual interference between coexistent wireless networks are provided. A coexistence terminal comprising a WLAN radio and a Bluetooth radio operating as a master device may transmit signals to one or more remote controllers comprising a slave Bluetooth radio to increase transmission power when the isolation between the coexistence terminal's WLAN and Bluetooth radios is below a threshold. Link manager protocol (LMP) signals may be utilized for changing the transmission power. When the isolation increases above the threshold, signals may be generated to reduce the remote controllers' transmission power. In some instances, in addition to increasing the transmission power of remote controllers, the transmission power of the Bluetooth radio or the WLAN radio may be reduced. The reduced Bluetooth or WLAN radio transmission power may be increased when the radio isolation in the coexistence terminal increases.
