    摘要： A portable device is connected to a host system that operates according to a first industry standard architecture (e.g., a personal computer built according to the IBM Personal Computer standard). The user initiates a session in the host system using the software and data in the portable device. The user suspends the state of the session, the state is stored in the portable device, and the user disconnects the portable device from the host. The user later connects the portable device to a second host that operates according to a second industry standard architecture (e.g., Apple Macintosh™ computer). The second host boots an autoconfiguring host operating system stored in the portable device and starts a virtual machine layer also stored in the portable device. The user then resumes operation of the suspended virtual machine layer session.

The method further includes visualizing the ranked list of media contents and displaying relevant annotation and corresponding metadata associations for the media contents to enable navigation of the media contents.

    摘要： A method, information processing system and computer readable medium for emulating a mobile device on a computer is disclosed. The method includes storing an emulator program on the computer, wherein the emulator program imitates the functions and display of the mobile device. The method further includes establishing a connection between the mobile device and the computer and executing the emulator program on the computer, wherein an interface of the computer serves to interface with the emulator program. The method further includes synchronizing the emulator program and the mobile device such that the emulator program imitates in real time the functions and display of the mobile device. The method further allows the user to control and interact with the mobile devices from a centralized console on another device, such as a personal computer.

    摘要： A method for displaying a calendar event on an electronic map includes steps of: receiving a request to generate a map view of a selected timeline of calendar events, wherein the calendar events are associated with event locations; converting event locations to geographic locations; generating a map view showing the geographic locations of the calendar events and legends representing the calendar events; and displaying the map view with the legends shown in close proximity to the locations of the calendar events. A user can elect to switch between a display of the map view and a display of a view of the selected timeline. A user can also select to create a calendar event on an electronic map by selecting a location associated with the calendar event on the map; receive a graphical user interface display, enter information about the calendar event on the graphical user interface display, and view the electronic map.
