The firefighter's garment has an outer shell of abrasion resistant and flame resistant material, within the outer shell is a layer of moisture resistant material, the layer of moisture resistant material covers a layer of thermal insulation which has given thermal insulation qualities. Attached to the layer of thermal insulation material which has given thermal insulation qualities is a layer of thermal insulation material which has greater thermal insulation qualities. The layer of thermal insulation material which has greater thermal insulation qualities is positioned within the firefighter's garment in the regions of the firefighter's garment which are subjected to the highest heat loads.

摘要： A firefighter's garment of the type having an outer shell layer and a moisture barrier layer and a thermal barrier layer. This invention pertains primarily to a firefighter's bunker coat having these three layers. In a firefighter's bunker coat of this invention the thermal barrier layer is composed of a plurality of sections. For example, there may be a pair of sleeve sections and a vest section. Each of the sections is separately releasably attached within the bunker coat, and therefore can be easily removed from the bunker coat and easily reinserted into the coat and attached thereto, as desired.

摘要： A firefighter's garment as disclosed herein may be a coat or trousers or a vest. The garment has an outer layer, an intermediate layer, and an inner layer. A spacer element or elements are positioned between two of the layers of the garment. The spacer element or elements in the firefighter's garment establish and maintain an air space or air spaces between the layers of the garment, even when localized pressure or weight is applied to portions of the garment. Thus, the firefighter's garment has excellent heat insulation qualities without being heavy and/or bulky. Thus, a firefighter wearing the garment is continually protected and is subject to minimum stress and is able to work more effectively than a firefighter wearing a firefighter's conventional garment.

摘要： A firefighter's garment having a double wristlet sleeve and cuff structure. The garment has full length sleeves. The garment, including the sleeves, has a plurality of layers: an outer layer, which is a flame resistant layer, an intermediate layer, which is a moisture barrier layer, and an inner layer, which is a thermal barrier layer. A cuff member of moisture barrier material is positioned at the end portion of each sleeve and extends directly from at least one of the layers. A wristlet or seal member is encompassed by the cuff member and is adapted to snugly encompass the wrist of the firefighter who wears the garment. Another wristlet or seal member is positioned between the cuff member and the outer layer. The wristlets or seal members are preferably of thermal barrier material. Thus, the sleeve and cuff structure protects the firefighter against movement of fluids and hot embers and other debris to the wrist and arm of the firefighter.

The mounting device comprises a fitment, which is mounted to the protective helmet and which has a recess opening downwardly and receiving an upper portion of the badge, the upper portion comprising an upper end of the badge. The mounting device comprises a blade, which is mounted to the protective helmet and which has a portion extending upwardly along a back face of the badge as far as the upper edge of the badge, or farther. The badge may be predominantly made of leather. The blade is a leaf spring, which biases the badge frontwardly.
