摘要: The invention provides a cutter device for use especially in an underground pipeline or passageway such as a sewer which has been lined with a rigid resin lining, the cutter device serving to cut the lining where it covers lateral connections which must be re-opened. The cutter device according to the invention provides a cutter with a cutting bit which can be moved in an orbital fashion to enable the line of action of the cutter bit to maintain its angularity with respect to the angularity with which the lateral meets the main pipeline or passageway. The cutter bit preferably is a rotatable cutter bit, but in the alternative it may be for example a jet of liquid.

摘要: A method of lining a passageway, such as an undergound sewer is disclosed. A fluent but thixotropic cementitious composition is sprayed onto the surface of the passageway, to form a lining of predetermined thickness and before the material has had time to flow to change its distribution on the surface, a flexible tube is everted onto the applied material, holding it in position until it is sufficiently cured.

摘要: A method wherein a tubular liner is applied to the surface of a passageway such as a tunnel or pipeline bore. The liner may be in the form of a flattened tube of absorbent material such as felt or foam such is impregnated with synthetic resin. The liner is anchored at one end of the passageway and is fed into the passageway being turned inside out as it is so fed in. In order to eliminate friction, the liner, before being turned inside out, is supported buoyantly by liquid which serves to carry the liner.
