摘要： Disclosed is a method and apparatus for transmitting uplink data by a terminal performing a DRX operation in a mobile telecommunication system. According to the method and apparatus, when a UE transmits the uplink data, the UE variably controls given active and sleep periods in consideration of whether or not retransmission for the uplink data is performed, thereby more flexibly operating in the DRX mode.

摘要： In a cellular communication network comprising a plurality of cells, and further comprising one or more multicast/broadcast service providers arranged to provide a plurality of multicast/broadcast services over a radio interface to a mobile communication device located in a current cell, a method is provided for providing radio bearer configuration information to enable the mobile communication device to receive a multicast/broadcast service. The method comprises the steps of providing to a mobile communication device messages containing information associated with the radio bearer configuration, wherein each message is associated with a plurality of multicast/broadcast services that are available to be transmitted to the mobile communication device when in the current cell, and, periodically transmitting the messages to the mobile communication device within the current cell.

摘要： Disclosed is a method and apparatus for efficiently transmitting/receiving transmission power status information (TPS) and buffer state information (BO) of a user equipment (UE). Under the assumption that an enhanced uplink dedicated transport channel (EUDCH) is used for an uplink data transmission in an asynchronous code division multiple access (CDMA) system, a scheduler of a Node B performs a scheduling operation such as transmission timing of EUDCH packet data, data rate assignment, and the like. The scheduler receives the EUDCH packet data BO, TPS, and the like, and efficiently performs processes of start/continuation/end of the TPS transmission.

摘要： A method for transmitting a random access preamble using a random access procedure in a mobile communication system. The random access preamble transmission method includes selecting, upon triggering of the random access procedure, one of random access preamble sets predefined between a User Equipment (UE) and an Evolved Node B (ENB) according to whether a radio channel condition is greater than a radio channel condition threshold and a size of a message that the UE will transmit after transmission of the random access preamble is greater than a minimum message size, randomly selecting a random access preamble from the selected random access preamble set, and transmitting the selected random access preamble to the ENB over a random access channel.
