Abstract: A communication method and apparatus, to help improve efficiency of identifying a fake base station. The method includes: A terminal device receives configuration information sent by a network device, and then simultaneously measures, based on the configuration information, a channel state information-reference signal CSI-RS and a synchronization signal block SSB that are sent by a cell. When determining that a measurement result of the CSI-RS and a measurement result of the SSB of the cell satisfy a preset condition, the terminal device reports a measurement report to the network device, where the measurement report includes identification information of the cell, so that the network device identifies a fake base station.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a minimization of drive tests (MDT) configuration method, to improve accuracy of a cell measurement result. The method in the embodiments of this application includes: receiving, by a base station, MDT configuration information sent by a core network or an operation, administration, and maintenance (OAM) network management system, where the MDT configuration information includes first beam configuration information; and sending, by the base station, an MDT measurement configuration message to UE based on the MDT configuration information, where the MDT measurement configuration message includes second beam configuration information, and the second beam configuration information is the same as the first beam configuration information or the second beam configuration information is configuration information obtained after the first beam configuration information is processed.

Abstract: A cell measurement method and an apparatus are provided, to resolve a problem in the conventional technology that a resource waste is caused due to excessively high power consumption of a terminal device. In the method, after determining indication information, a network device sends the indication information to the terminal device, where the indication information indicates the terminal device to perform cell measurement to obtain N cells meeting a cell quality parameter threshold; and the terminal device performs cell measurement based on the indication information.

Abstract: Example handover methods and apparatus are described. One example method includes generating a handover request message or a handover requirement message by a source radio access network (RAN) device. The handover request message includes a first mapping relationship between downlink transmission of a quality of service (QoS) flow and a data radio bearer (DRB) and a second mapping relationship between uplink transmission of the QoS flow and a DRB that are configured by the source RAN device for a terminal device, where the two mapping relationships are different. The source RAN device sends the handover request message to a target RAN device, and forwards data of the terminal device on the source RAN device to the target RAN device in a process in which the terminal device is handed over from the source RAN device to the target RAN device.

Abstract: A communications method and apparatus, a system, and a storage medium, to provide a method to support handover of user equipment between network side devices or networks with different bearer support capabilities is provided. The method includes: sending a first message, where the first message includes information of N bearers to be handed over, and when N is greater than M, a first information element in the first message includes information of M bearers in the N bearers, and a second information element in the first message includes information of N−M bearers other than the M bearers in the N bearers, where M is a maximum quantity of bearers supported by the first information element, and the second information element is an information element unidentifiable by a target network element of the handover.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, a base station, and a system for sending RRC signaling, and in the method for sending RRC signaling provided in the embodiments of the present invention, a pico base station and a macro base station participate in configuration and generation of an RRC reconfiguration message; the pico base station establishes only one RRC entity that is used to generate a configuration parameter or an RRC entity; the RRC reconfiguration message cooperatively generated by the pico base station and the macro base station is uniformly sent by the macro base station to a user equipment. Therefore, the user equipment UE can support, only by establishing an SRB corresponding to the macro base station, an RRC reconfiguration message sent by the pico base station, thereby lowering design complexity and costs.

Abstract: This application provides a communication method, a terminal, and a base station, so that communication is performed between a terminal and a cell during cell handover. The method includes: receiving, by a terminal from a first base station, a cell identity of a first cell, at least one beam parameter of the first cell, and a resource associated with the at least one beam parameter, where the first cell belongs to a second base station; further, determining a target beam parameter, and sending information on a resource corresponding to the target beam parameter; and receiving a response to the information by using a receive beam associated with the target beam parameter, so that communication can be performed between the terminal and a cell during cell handover.
