An example of a first method can include providing one or more discontinuous reception cycles respectively corresponding to one or more inactivity periods. During respective awake periods of the one or more discontinuous reception cycles, data can be received on respective ones of one or more frequency carriers. The number and type of the one or more frequency carriers on which data is received can be determined based on the one or more inactivity periods. Further, in some embodiments, in addition to providing discontinuous reception on selected frequency carriers, data can be received according to continuous reception on other frequency carriers, such as the anchor carrier.

    摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques for user-specific search space design for multi-carrier operation in Long Term Evolution Advanced (LTE-A) systems. The user-specific search space can be designed for searching Physical Downlink Control Channels (PDCCHs) transmitted on one component carrier (CC) that schedules Physical Downlink Shared Channel/Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PDSCH/PUSCH) transmissions on two or more different CCs. In one aspect, multiple independent user-specific search spaces can be designed. In another aspect, one user-specific search space can be randomly derived and then expanded to accommodate search for multiple CCs. In yet another aspect, the search space design can retain randomness in starting search element indices of multiple PDSCH/PUSCH CCs, while overlapping of search spaces for multiple PDSCH/PUSCH CCs can be avoided.

    摘要: Techniques for reporting channel state information (CSI) are disclosed. A user equipment (UE) may be configured for operation on multiple carriers with different configurations, e.g., FDD and TDD carriers and/or carriers with different uplink-downlink configurations. The multiple carriers may have different subframes for making measurements for CSI and/or different subframes for sending CSI. In response to a CSI request, the UE may determine at least one reference subframe to use for determining CSI for the multiple carriers. The reference subframe may be common to the plurality of carriers and may, for example, be based the subframe in which the CSI request in sent. Alternatively, the reference subframe may be different for different carriers such as when it is based on different HARQ timelines applicable for the different carriers. The UE may determine the CSI for the multiple carriers based on the reference subframe(s) and may report the CSI.

The method also includes processing the overlapping information in accordance with the received triggering information. The overlapping information can be comprises consistent configuration information for the aperiodic SRS transmission, in which case the processing includes transmitting an aperiodic SRS in accordance with the configuration information. When the overlapping information has dissimilar configurations for the aperiodic SRS transmission; the processing includes treating the overlapping information as an error event. The overlapping information can be a trigger received in an uplink grant and a trigger received in a downlink grant. The wireless system can be a multicarrier system including multiple component carriers.
