摘要: The present invention is directed to devices, systems and methods for selecting the appearance of a display on a viewer that displays the output of a digital content server. Include tags, in html display, output custom or default information determined by the presence or absence of a unique identifier. In the event of perl-generated html, find and replace routines locate specific include tags and replace the include tags with custom or default information determined by the same unique identifier that dictates the selected viewer appearance. Accordingly, a vendor's web page may display content from a host's website while preserving the look and feel of the affiliate's web pages.

摘要: A percutaneous electrode array is disclosed for applying therapeutic electrical energy to a treatment site in the body of a patient. The array comprises a plurality of electrode microstructures which are inserted into the epidermis, thereby overcoming the inherent electrical impedance of the outer skin layers and obviating the need to prepare the skin surface prior to an electro-therapy treatment. The array preferably includes an adhesion layer to help keep the electrode microstructures inserted into the epidermis during the duration of the therapeutic treatment, and temperature and condition monitoring devices to ensure proper treatment and enhance patient safety.

摘要: An electrochromic mirror includes an integrated internal plate frame with an electrochromic mirror subassembly adhered to its flat front surface, electrical components supported on a rear with the frame acting as a heat sink and EMI/RFI shield, and a back cover supported on the plate frame. The subassembly is uniformly supported across the front surface of the plate frame for good mirror impact resistance. The mirror is supported by an angularly adjustable ball-and-socket connection. In one embodiment, the ball is formed integrally on the plate frame. The present mirror is surprisingly thin, with at least 50% of the depth dimensions being less than about 3.0 centimeters.

摘要: This invention has a focus of adaptability for the purpose of environmental preservation while satisfying the need for a low pH compound. This invention is a more environmentally friendly low pH formula for decontamination. It is an antimicrobial agent low pH acidic aqueous solution consisting of two acids with a pH of to less than one. It is non-toxic to humans and animals. Currently available formulas consist of three or more acids; however, the resulting disposal of this invention is a less objectionable pollutant into the environment. In areas that are concerned about phosphoric residue, the formula containing hydrochloric acid would be used and visa-versa. This invention is intended for use as a disinfectant in a food production, agriculture, household, animal care, cosmetic, medical, industrial, military, public safety, transportation, hygiene, locations of population concentration and institutions of confinement. This invention is intended for use alone in full concentration, diluted or as a component of other solutions. This invention also relates to the dilution and application methods of this invention.

摘要: An apparatus for providing therapeutic electric current to a treatment site of a patient is disclosed, which provides two oscillating or pulsing electric alternating currents, of frequencies which differ from each other by as little as 1 Hz and up to about 250 Hz, but each being of frequency at least about 1 KHz. The apparatus requires only one feed electrode adapted to feed the electric currents to selected feed sites on or beneath the epidermal or mucous surface of the patient, and only one return electrode adapted to be positioned on or beneath the epidermal or mucous surface of the patient, locally to the treatment site. The apparatus includes a feedback subsystem to detect impedance changes in the patient and accordingly adjust the output of the apparatus.

摘要: This invention is related to the measurement of flow rates and component fractions of individual phases of a composite fluid. More particularly, the invention is directed toward apparatus and methods for determining the volumetric flow rate or mass flow of one or more phases of a fluid by measuring the activity, as a function of time, of one or more specific radioactive isotopes affected by a specific phase of the flowing fluid stream. Radioactive phase isotope material is deposited upon one or more inserts, and each deposition of phase isotope material is coated with a corresponding phase coating. Each phase isotope and corresponding phase coating is soluble in only one phase of the multi-phase flow. The inserts are then inserted into the multi-phase flow, and the time required for each flow phase to wash the corresponding phase coating from the insert is measured by the release of the corresponding phase isotope into the flow stream. Phase flow parameters of interest are then computed from the measured phase release times.
