Abstract:
A quadrangular or rectangular area on a medium surface of a printed material is defined as a block. A straight line in a vertical direction and a horizontal direction along an edge of the block is defined as a reference lattice line. A virtual lattice point is disposed at a predetermined interval on the reference lattice line. A reference lattice point dot is disposed on a virtual lattice point on a horizontal reference lattice line. A straight line connecting the reference grid point dots and virtual lattice points on a vertical line is defined as a lattice line. A point of intersection between lattice lines is defined as a virtual lattice point. A dot pattern is generated by arranging one or more information dots having a distance and a direction on the basis of the virtual lattice point. Such a dot pattern is scanned as image information by an optical reading means. Then, the dot pattern is converted into a numerical value and the information corresponding to the numerical information is read from a storage means. Then the information is outputted.
Abstract:
A magnetic recording apparatus includes: a magnetic disk; a drive device; a magnetic disk control device; a buffer; and a flag management table. The buffer reads data of a specific block unit from a designated read range on the magnetic disk. The flag management table stores a pointer indicating the read location of the buffer for data of each of the block units and a management flag for the pointer. The magnetic disk control device sets the management flag of the pointer corresponding to a given block unit when the data of the given block unit is read to the buffer.

Abstract:
Both an information output device (a stage chassis) having a touch panel and other dot pattern reading devices can use a card, and one card can provide two types of information. To provide a card with such excellent convenience and flexibility, a technique to read a card surface and a technique to execute an instruction corresponding to the read card surface are realized. On the front surface and the back surface of the card, dot patterns are formed. The dot pattern is made into a pattern with an application ID which specifies an application related to each surface, a card surface number which specifies a card surface, and XY coordinates. With this, a method for reading a card surface and executing an instruction, which can execute different applications related to the front and back surfaces of the card is provided.

Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to provide antibodies that bind to Prominin-1 and have ADCC activity and/or CDC activity, and pharmaceutical compositions containing those antibodies as an active ingredient. To achieve a solution to the above-mentioned objective, the present inventors produced recombinant antibodies by cloning a nucleotide sequence of the AC133 antibody variable region, discovered that the ADCC/CDC-inducing effect which does not exist in the original AC133 antibody is imparted to the recombinant antibodies, and thereby completed the present invention. In the human chimeric antibody/human effector cell combination, the chimeric antibody whose constant region sequence had been converted to human IgG1/κ was found to induce strong ADCC. Furthermore, the present inventors produced humanized antibodies prepared by grafting the AC133 antibody CDRs to a human antibody sequence, and further produced humanized antibodies having binding activities equivalent to the activity of the chimeric antibody by introducing amino acid substitutions into the humanized L chain sequence. The present invention provides unlabeled AC133 human chimeric antibodies and humanized antibodies having antitumor effects.
Abstract:
A PIN code input method which is low cost and operated easily and ensures high security is presented. The PIN code input method specifies and inputs a plurality of identifiable symbol icons printed or displayed on a medium surface in a predetermined order, based on which order the PIN code is authenticated. The PIN code input method uses a dot pattern signifying a coordinate value or/and a code value formed on the medium surface where the symbol icons are printed or the visual surface where the symbol icons are displayed. The dot pattern is read by a scanner and converted into the PIN code according to the coordinate value or/and code value. The PIN code is authenticated based on the order of the PIN code read. Upon reading the dot pattern by the scanner, the orientation of the scanner relative to a vertical axis perpendicular to the medium surface or the visual surface is input together with the coordinate value or/and code value signified by the dot pattern as the PIN code.
