Abstract:
Headwear comprising an image capture device configured to capture a visual purchase identifier observable by a wearer of said headwear; and a processor connected to said image capture device and configured to, in response to receiving data from the image capture device, identify said visual purchase identifier and initiate payment for a purchase identified by the visual purchase identifier.
Abstract:
A method includes bringing a mobile device into proximity with an indicium, the indicium adjacent a radio frequency identification (RFID) integrated circuit (IC), the RFID IC coupled to an antenna. The method further includes the mobile device reading a message from the RFID IC, where the message is transmitted by the RFID IC via the antenna. The method further includes the mobile device responding to the message by opening an electronic wallet function in the mobile device.
Abstract:
A method of account identification is performed on suitably programmed computing apparatus. An account number comprising a plurality of numeric characters is assigned to an account. The characters of the account number are divided into a numeric identifier and a convertible string. The convertible string is compressed into a compressed convertible string using an expanded character set. There are fewer characters in the compressed convertible string than in the uncompressed convertible string. A compressed account number is provided comprising the numeric identifier and the compressed convertible string. This may then be used in transactions without compromising the original account number while retaining the identifier for use in identifying transactions. A method of performing a transaction is also described, as is suitable apparatus for carrying out the methods described.

Abstract:
A mobile device includes a housing and an antenna mounted in or on the housing for exchanging transaction signals with a point-of-sale (POS) terminal. The mobile device also includes a user interface element, a transceiver coupled to the antenna, and a secure element including processing circuitry and a secure tick counter. The secure element stores a payment application operable to conduct a pre-sign procedure selected by a user before interfacing with a point-of-sale (POS) terminal. The processing circuitry verifies the user, obtains a first tick value, sets the mobile device into a transaction-enabled state, obtains, when the transceiver is interfaced with a POS terminal, a current tick value from the secure tick counter, calculates a difference value between the current tick value and the first tick value, and enforces a risk management decision.
Abstract:
A pre-authenticated token system includes an identification token having a switch, a transmitter and receiver circuit, and a sensor; a docking station having control circuitry, a transmit/receive circuit and an antenna; a personal computer; and an authentication server computer. The personal computer transmits security information to the authentication server, receives authentication information, and transmits an authentication signal to the docking station. The docking station receives the authentication signal, enters an authentication mode, and transmits the authentication signal to the identification token. The sensor of the identification token detects removal of the identification token from the user's body, and the switch then responds by disabling the identification token to prevent transmission of identification data.
