In an onboard gateway apparatus, when data is received from one network, the received data is stored in the buffer. The buffer includes a first storage area for storing data in the order of priority of an identifier (ID) attached to the data and a second storage area for storing data in the order in which the data is received. A control means stores the received data in one of the first and second storage areas based on the attached identifier, and sends the data to another network in accordance with the priority of the ID of the data. As to data passing through the first storage area, sending in the order of priority is ensured. A notch is formed at the end section of the bar-shaped light guide on the light-emitting surface side close to the light-emitting unit, and light from the light-emitting unit is reflected on a rear surface of the shielding section through a gap between this notch and the light-emitting unit to be introduced into the bar-shaped light guide.

The end of the light guide can be prevented from being disengaged from the casing by the rib. Another rib is formed unitarily with the end of the casing on the opposite side of the light source unit. This rib covers an opposite end of the light-emitting plane of the transparent light guide, and prevents the opposite end of the light guide from being disengaged from the casing.
