Abstract:
The invention is directed to β-carboline sulphonylurea derivatives as EP4 receptor antagonists useful for the treatment of EP4 mediated diseases or conditions, such as acute and chronic pain, inflammation, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis. Pharmaceutical compositions and methods of use are also included.
Abstract:
Several related entities can owe payments to a single vendor. For example, several related companies can owe payments to developers who sell software using several storefronts operated by the related companies. To limit the number of payments made to the developer, a third-party payment processing entity can receive individual payments from each of storefronts for a developer, can aggregate he payments and convert their respective currencies if necessary, and provide a single payment on behalf of all of the storefronts to the developer. Because the payment processing entity is a third party (e.g., a bank) and not related to the storefronts, the tax or other advantages procured from having several storefronts can be preserved while reducing the costs of paying the developer (e.g., fewer transaction fees).
Abstract:
A system may confirm that advertising was played as originally intended. For example, in one embodiment, a system may determine that an advertisement was played as originally intended and in return, a credit may be provided to the user. This credit may be the ability to play content that the user wishes to play or the credit may be in the form of rewards that are provided to the user, as another example. Thus, the system determines whether the advertisements are played correctly, for example, by detecting watermarks encoded within the advertising, and in return, provides indications that reward the user for playing the advertisement as intended.
Abstract:
Compound of formula I are antagonists of the PGD2 receptor, CRTH2, and as such are useful in the treatment and/or prevention of CRTH2-mediated diseases such as asthma.
Abstract:
A wireless device, such as a remote control unit, may include an internal fingerprint identification unit. The fingerprint identification unit may be arranged to capture the user's fingerprint when the user's finger is positioned over a button that is substantially radiation transmissive. Radiation directed at the user's finger through the button may be captured for image analysis and ultimately for fingerprint identification. Thus, the device may be used to identify users who wish to access a processor-based system such as a processor-based television receiver.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a novel class of compounds which are cysteine protease inhibitors, including but not limited to, inhibitors of cathepsins K, L, S and B. These compounds are useful for treating diseases in which inhibition of bone resorption is indicated, such as osteoporosis.
