摘要: A magnetic recording medium including at least a disk substrate 1A, a magnetic recording layer 5 formed with a predetermined concavo-convex pattern on the disk substrate 1A, and a non-magnetic layer 6 filled into concave portions of the concavo-convex pattern, so as to have data track regions 20 and servo pattern regions 21. Due to the existence of concaves and convexes in the surface of each data track region 20, the foregoing problem is solved. On this occasion, arithmetical mean deviation of the assessed profile Ra of the surface of each data track region 20 is preferably not lower than 0.3 nm. The difference in surface level between each concave and each convex existing in the surface of the data track region 20 is preferably not larger than 6 nm.

摘要: An optical device vibrator has a driving mechanism and a controller. The driving mechanism repeatedly changes position or angle of an optical device in predetermined cycles in order to vibrate the optical device. The controller controls driving of the driving mechanism and changes a setting for the position or angle serving as a reference for the repeated change based on predetermined correction information.

摘要: A concave/convex pattern forming method which makes it possible to easily press a stamper against a resin layer, and sufficiently maintain the shape of the concave/convex pattern after removing the stamper. During a resin layer forming process, the resin layer is formed using a resin material having a glass transition temperature higher than room temperature. During a pressing process, temperature control is performed such that temperatures of a substrate, the resin layer, and the stamper become higher than the glass transition temperature of the resin material by not less than 5° C. During a removing process, temperature control is performed such that temperatures of the substrate, the resin layer, and the stamper become not higher than a temperature 20° C. higher than the glass transition temperature of the resin material, and are equal or approximately equal to the temperatures of the substrate, the resin layer, and the stamper during the pressing process.

摘要: An imprinting apparatus according to the present invention is configured to be capable of removing a stamper having one surface thereof formed with a concave/convex portion and having flexibility, from a resist layer to which shapes of the concave/convex portion of the stamper have been transferred by pressing the concave/convex portion of the stamper against the resist layer on a disk-shaped substrate. The imprinting apparatus comprises a suction device (a suction section, an air pump, and a restrictor) configured to be capable of sucking a predetermined part of the other surface of the stamper to thereby remove the predetermined part from the resist layer such that a removal completion range of the stamper can be gradually expanded from a state where the predetermined part is removed from the resist layer by the suction device.

The pellicle frame has one end face and the other end face and is provided at its central portion with an opening. The other end face of the pellicle frame is provided with an adhesion layer. The pellicle film is stretched over and attached to the one end face of the pellicle frame. The at least two liners are adhered on the adhesion layer. The at least two liners can be respectively peeled off from the adhesion layer, and when the at least two liners are respectively peeled off from the adhesion layer, a portion of the adhesion layer to which each of the liners was adhered is exposed.

摘要: In a contact lens visual inspection method and apparatus, a contact lens insertion portion of a container is first imaged by an image pickup device and then an area which locates on the container and is unnecessary for the visual inspection of a contact lens is extracted from the image of the contact lens insertion portion to form a mask image. Thereafter, a system containing the contact lens insertion portion of the container, the preservation liquid filled in the contact lens insertion portion and the contact lens placed in the contact lens insertion portion is imaged as an inspection object by the imaging device to obtain an inspection object image, the inspection object image is overlapped with the mask image, and the mask image is subtracted from the inspection object image to set as a visual inspection area the area corresponding to a subtracting image obtained by said subtracting step. The defects of the contact lens such as soil, foreign matter, scratch, breakage, peripheral damage, etc. detected for the visual inspection area.
