Abstract: An apparatus including a plurality of antenna panels; circuitry configured for receiving a synchronization signal burst including a plurality of synchronization signal blocks; circuitry for configuring, for a first sample, each of the plurality of antenna panels to be switched in alternating manner to measure received signal power level of each of the plurality of synchronization signal blocks; circuitry for configuring, for a predetermined number of subsequent samples, each of the plurality of antenna panels to be switched in alternating manner to measure the received signal power level of the synchronization signal block providing a highest received signal power level for said antenna panel in the first sample; and circuitry configured for sending a report of the measured received signal power level of said synchronization signal block to a network element.

Abstract: The present invention introduces a method and a system for base station cross-channel measurement control and configuration. A centralized unit (CU) (301, 601) of a base station configures (304, 305) at least two distributed units (DU) (302, 303, 602, 604) with DU sounding signaling transmission objects and DU cross-link measurement objects. The first DU (302) transmits (306) a sounding signal through an air interface (308) which the second DU (303) measures (307). The second DU (303) reports (309) this to the CU (301). Then the second DU (303) transmits (311) a sounding signal through an air interface (312) which the first DU (302) measures (310). The first DU (302) reports (313) this to the CU (301). Beam-forming can be applied as well. Also neighboring operators can be found by inter-frequency measurements of the sounding signals or Synchronization Signals. The CU (301, 601) can control the DUs (302, 303, 602, 604) with appropriate TDD switching patterns based on the found cross-link interference levels.

Abstract: Example embodiments relate to machine learning based digital pre-distortion for power amplifiers. A device may amplify a signal with a power amplifier and transmit the signal. The signal may be received by an internal feedback receiver of the device. The device may further comprise a first machine learning model configured to emulate an external feedback receiver and to generate an emulated feedback signal based on the internal feedback signal. The device may further comprise a second machine learning model configured to determine digital pre-distortion parameters for the power amplifier based on the emulated feedback signal. Apparatuses, methods, and computer programs are disclosed.

Abstract: A TRP clusters multiple UEs into a group, configures selected ones of the UEs in the group to be head UEs, and configures UEs not selected as head UEs to be group UEs. The group UEs are configured to send signals or calculated information used for positioning of the group UEs to head UEs instead of to the TRP. The TRP receives calculated information that was calculated by the head UEs from the signals or calculated information used for positioning of the group UEs, and forwards the calculated information from the head user equipment toward a network node for position determination of the group UEs. The head UEs both transmit to and receive signals from the group UEs and use the signals to calculate the calculated information. The head UEs may also receive information calculated by the group UEs, which is also used to calculate the calculated information.

Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from selectively monitoring alternative links. In certain example embodiments, an apparatus may comprise at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code are configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to determine that at least one obstacle has entered at least one predefined region and transmit to at least one network entity at least one indication comprising at least one predicted-power back off (P-PBO) value. The at least one memory and the computer program code are further configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to generate at least one predictive-PBO report (P-PBOR) and transmit the at least one P-PBOR to the at least one network entity.

Abstract: A method for identifying potentially interfering devices is provided. The method may include receiving, by a first base station, an information element comprising information for identifying location of a first device with respect to the first base station, and sending a request to a second base station. The request may include location information on the basis of the received information element. The method may include receiving, in response to the request, an identifier of at least one further device, and transmitting the identifier of the at least one further device to the first device for interference measurements.
