The system includes a client web browser, an advertisement unit database element, and an advertisement unit server element. The client web browser is configured to render a web page having a designated location for a first self-contained advertisement unit, wherein the first self-contained advertisement unit is configured to enable user interactions and submission of user interaction data via a submit function and be rendered without the use of a plug-in application. The advertisement unit database element is configured to store a plurality of self-contained advertisement units. The advertisement unit server element is communicatively connected to the client web browser and the advertisement unit database element. The advertisement server element is configured to receive the user interaction data, dynamically process the user data to select a second self-contained advertisement unit from the plurality of self-contained advertisements, and send the second self-contained advertisement unit to the client web browser to replace the first advertisement unit in the designated location of the web page. The second self-contained advertisement unit being configured to be rendered without a plug-in application.

The webpage includes an ad unit request script that is configured to direct the web browser to generate a request for an advertisement unit. The advertisement server is communicatively connected to the web browser and the web server. The advertisement server is configured to receive advertisement unit requests and send a first ad unit and a second ad unit to the web browser in response to those requests. The first and second ad units are rendered by the web browser onto the webpage. The first ad unit is communicatively interfaced with the second ad unit and is configured to detect the second ad unit and send instructions to the second ad unit if the second ad unit possesses specified attributes. The second ad unit is configured to receive and execute instructions received from the first ad unit.

摘要： According to one described embodiment, a method is provided in which transaction information is determined. The transaction information is associated with (i) a buyer who has arranged to purchase a product from a central controller at a first price established between the buyer and the central controller and (ii) a merchant that offers the product for sale at a second price, different from the first price, without offering the product for sale to buyers at the first price. Information is transmitted that facilitates the acquisition of the product by the buyer, in exchange for payment provided by the buyer to the central controller. An amount based on the second price is provided to the merchant.
