Abstract: The present invention relates to a user device, a base station, and data transmission and reception methods to be performed by a user device and a base station in a communications system. The user device comprises circuitry which, in operation, calculates the starting location of a paging region comprising resources in which user devices are paged, the paging region including paging information for paging said user device; and determines an offset with respect to the starting location of the paging region, the offset indicating the location of the paging information for paging said user device relative to the starting location of the paging region.

Abstract: A communication apparatus includes control circuitry and a transmitter. In operation, the control circuitry selects a Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) mapping pattern from among a plurality of DMRS mapping patterns. The DMRS mapping patterns include a first DMRS mapping pattern with first DMRS resource elements to which first DMRSs in a first half of a subframe are mapped and second DMRS resource elements to which second DMRSs in a second half of the subframe are mapped. Also, in operation, the transmitter transmits downlink control information that includes a plurality of bits indicating the selected DMRS mapping pattern.

Abstract: The invention relates to a transmitting device, which performs a resource sensing procedure to acquire information about radio resources usable for transmitting data at a later point in time. After data becomes available for transmission, the transmitting device performs an autonomous radio resource allocation to select radio resources within a transmission window to be used for transmitting the data, based on the information acquired by the resource sensing procedure during a sensing window. The autonomous radio resource allocation comprises selecting radio resources in primary subframes of the transmission window preferably over radio resources in secondary subframes of the transmission window. The secondary subframes correspond to those subframes in the sensing window during which the transmitting device did not perform the resource sensing procedure, and the primary subframes correspond to those subframes in the sensing window during which the transmitting device did perform the resource sensing procedure.

Each time unit includes the downlink transmission region and the uplink transmission region for each of HARQ processes.
