    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive information identifying a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state, wherein the TCI state identifies an association between a periodic demodulation reference signal (DMRS) and a target reference signal. The UE may communicate the periodic DMRS identified by the TCI state. The UE may transmit or receive the target reference signal based at least in part on the periodic DMRS and the TCI state. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a control message indicating a resource set that includes one or more resources or a resource configuration for two or more time resources for reference signal reception from at least two transmission/reception points (TRPs) in accordance with a single frequency network (SFN) configuration. The UE may receive a first reference signal from the first TRP and a second reference from the second TRP in the indicated resources. The UE may perform a channel estimation for an SFN channel associated with the at least two TRPs in accordance with the control message. The channel estimation may be based on the first and second reference signals. The UE may communicate with at least one of the first TRP and the second TRP in accordance with the channel estimation.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which spatial relations for one or more uplink reference signal transmissions, such as sounding reference signal (SRS) transmissions, may be configured and a particular spatial relation indicated in a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE). A base station may configure a pool of available spatial relations for use in SRS transmissions, and the MAC-CE may indicate which spatial relation of the set of available spatial relations is to be used. In other cases, the MAC-CE may provide all of the spatial relation information for an associated SRS transmission. The UE, responsive to receiving the MAC-CE, may transmit a SRS to the base station using the indicated spatial relation.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling including scheduling information. The scheduling information may include an indication of a joint downlink and uplink transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state for a common beam. The UE may apply the joint downlink and uplink TCI state at the component carriers to activate the common beam to transmit one or more uplink transmissions or to receive one or more downlink transmissions at the UE. The UE may schedule communications with a base station, one or more transmission reception points (TRPs), or both across the component carriers and using the common beam. The communications may include transmitting at least one uplink transmission during one or more uplink resources indicated in the scheduling information and receiving at least one downlink transmission during one or more downlink resources indicated in the scheduling information.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for link configuration-specific modulation and coding scheme (MCS). A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving control information indicating an MCS index corresponding to one or more MCS parameters to be used for a communication link, determining the one or more MCS parameters corresponding to the MCS index, wherein a mapping of the MCS index to the one or more MCS parameters is dependent on a configuration of the communication link, and communicating via the communication link in accordance with the one or more MCS parameters.
