    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication technique for fusing a 5G communication system with IoT technology to support a higher data rate than a 4G system, and a system thereof. The present disclosure can be applied to intelligent services (for example, smart homes, smart buildings, smart cities, smart cars or connected cars, healthcare, digital education, retail, security and safety related services, etc.) on the basis of 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology. According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, provided is a method of a first server in a wireless communication system. The method of the first server is characterized by comprising the steps of: receiving first information on whether a relocation procedure of an application context can be started from at least one of a terminal and an application server; confirming second information related to the relocation procedure of the application context on the basis of the first information; transmitting the second information to the terminal and the application server; and when it is confirmed that the relocation procedure of the application context is being performed, transmitting an indicator indicating that the relocation procedure of the application context is in progress to the terminal and the application server.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and an apparatus for obtaining location information of a terminal in an edge computing system and, more particularly, to a method and an apparatus for obtaining location information of a mobile terminal. According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a method for managing a location of a UE in an edge enabler server of an edge computing system may comprise: an operation of receiving a location request for the UE of a mobile communication system from an edge application server, wherein the location request includes an identifier of the UE and a location granularity parameter; and a step of including, in a response message to the location request, location information of the UE based on the granularity parameter, and transmitting same to the application server.

    Abstract: A method of relocating application context by an edge enabler client (EEC) in an edge computing system includes determining whether the application context should be relocated based on at least one piece of location information of a user equipment (UE) including the EEC and service area information for an edge data network (EDN), an edge enabler server (EES), or an edge application server, transmitting a context relocation request to a source edge enabler server (S-EES), based on the determination, receiving a context relocation response message indicating completion of the context relocation from the source edge enabler server, and rerouting application data traffic, based on the context relocation response message.
