Abstract: A method for carrying out AMF reassignment in a communication system may comprise the steps of: transmitting, to an NSSF, a first request message including at least one of a first parameter for requesting a public key of an AMF that is to be reassigned and a second parameter for requesting a token related to the AMF that is to be reassigned; receiving, from the NSSF, a first response message including at least one of information indicating a target AMF set, and a public key of the target AMF set or the token; generating, on the basis of first security context for user equipment, an SC container including second security context for a target AMF; encrypting the SC container by using the public key; and transmitting, to the target AMF via a radio access network related to the user equipment, at least one of the encrypted SC container, additional information related to encryption of the SC container, and the token.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A method performed by an access and mobility management function (AMF) in a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: receiving, from a relay user equipment (UE) for a UE-network relay communication, a relay key request message including an identifier of a remote UE for the UE-network relay communication; identifying whether the relay UE is authorized to provide a UE-network relay service; identifying an authentication server function (AUSF) related to the remote UE, based on the identifier of the remote UE; transmitting, to the AUSF, an authentication request message including the identifier of the remote UE; in case that an authentication procedure for the remote UE based on the identifier of the remote UE is successfully performed, acquiring a proximity-based services (ProSe) session encryption key established between the remote UE and the relay UE; and transmitting, to the relay UE, the ProSe session encryption key.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4G communication system such as LTE. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method in a roaming environment supporting a network slice is provided. The method comprises the steps of: receiving, from a terminal, a first packet data unit (PDU) session request message including slice assistance information indicating the properties of a service the terminal intends to use; transmitting, to a network function (NF) repository function, a first discovery request message including a home public land mobile network (PLMN) ID of the terminal and the slice assistance information; and receiving, from the NF repository function, a first discovery response message including a session management network function (SM NF) address of the home PLMN. The SM NF is selected on the basis of the slice assistance information.
