    Abstract: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a plurality of receiving antennas for receiving a plurality of reception signals. The apparatus also includes at least one first superposition device having at least one first and one second output, which in each case serve for providing a mode formed by superposition of at least two of the reception signals. The apparatus also includes at least one first frequency division multiplex device for transmitting input signal present at a first and a second input of the frequency division multiplex device via a first transmission link on different frequency bands to a receiving unit, wherein the first output of the first superposition device is connected to the first input of the first frequency division multiplex device and the second output of the first superposition device is connected directly or indirectly to a second transmission link.

    Abstract: An imaging device for a joint of a human is made of an HF transparent material. The imaging device has a base element that may be fastened to a patient bed of a magnetic resonance system. The imaging device includes a bearing element, in which a joint region of an extremity of the human may be supported when the base element is fastened to the patient bed. The bearing element and the base element are connected movably to each other by a guiding structure such that when the base element is fastened to the patient bed, the bearing element may be positioned in a plurality of defined positions relative to the base element.

    Abstract: A magnetic resonance device includes at least one gradient amplifier and at least one gradient coil. The magnetic resonance device also includes a switching matrix unit that is embodied flexibly to connect the at least one gradient amplifier to the at least one gradient coil. A preliminary pulse sequence for the magnetic resonance device provides that in the optimized pulse sequence, a sufficient number of gradient amplifiers is available at any point for operating the gradient coils used.

    Abstract: When a portion of a structure enclosing a local coil is inserted in a homogeneity region of a basic magnetic field of a magnetic resonance system, the local coil is operable to receive magnetic resonance signals originating from a specific detection zone for the local coil arrangement. At least one conductor is arranged in the structure. Field lines of a compensation magnetic field generated by current encircling the conductor form a compensation magnetic field angle with the basic magnetic field in an edge area of the detection zone. Return conductors complete an electric circuit containing the conductor and extend in the direction of the basic magnetic field and/or are arranged such that field lines of an interfering magnetic field counteracting the compensation magnetic field encircle the respective return conductor and form an interfering magnetic field angle with the basic magnetic field in the edge area.
