The prior art system only detects the existence of a device and cannot distinguish between a host and a device while a power source is turned on and switch its function. The information processing apparatus of the present invention separates the data lines of a host communication controller and the data lines of a device communication controller and activates the selected controller by means of selecting the data lines of the controllers and means of determining which is connected to a connector, a host or a device.

    摘要: An omnidirectional camera device is able to restrict a range in which images of objects are picked up. This omnidirectional camera device comprises a rotationally-symmetric convex mirror (24) fixedly attached to one end of a transparent tube assembly (20), an image pickup means (32) disposed on the other end of the tube assembly in an opposing relation to this convex mirror and a cover assembly (60) disposed on the tube assembly for restricting the range in which light becomes incident on the convex mirror. The cover assembly is mounted on one end side of the tube assembly. The cover assembly is a shielding cover assembly and includes a cover member (60B). The cover assembly is attached to the tube assembly so as to become freely rotatable. The direction and the range in which images of objects should be picked up may be adjusted by the attachment position of the cover assembly and a shielding angle &agr; of the cover assembly. Thus, since undesired video information may be eliminated, only pictures of objects in the desired ranges may be picked up, which becomes effective in analyzing information.

    摘要: A video camera device in which camera head and signal processing circuit are provided separately and connected to each other by cable. Camera head includes CCD, drive pulse generator for generating a drive pulse of CCD, and first VCO for generating a clock pulse. Drive pulse generator frequency divides the clock pulse signal from first VCO to produce the drive pulse. Signal processing circuit includes signal processor for processing, e.g., clamping and sampling/holding a signal from CCD, timing generator for generating a timing signal of the signal processor, and a second VCO for generating a clock pulse. Timing generator frequency divides the clock pulse signal from second VCO to generate the timing signal. The output of first VCO is supplied from camera held through cable to signal processing circuit, and to phase comparator. The output of second VCO is also supplied to phase comparator. The oscillation frequency of second VCO is controlled by the output of phase comparator such that the phase difference detected by phase comparator is made zero.
