摘要： A terminal includes: a receiving unit receiving document data from an external device; an acquiring unit acquiring the network bandwidth that is available to transmit data; an assigning unit assigning, in accordance with the network bandwidth that is available to transmit data, a transmission rate to each set of data that is to be transmitted to a different terminal device; a determining unit determining, according to the transmission rate that is assigned to the document data, the quality of the document data that is transmitted from the terminal device to a different terminal device; a converting unit converting the quality of the document data that is input from the external device such that equal to or less than the determined quality is obtained; and an encoding unit encoding multiple sets of data that include the converted document data by using the transmission rate that is assigned to each of them.

摘要： In a communication system, a plurality of communication terminals including first communication terminals and second communication terminals are connected through a network. The communication system includes: a communicator that transmits and receives content data; an executor that controls, when first communication is established between communication terminals, the communicator to transmit and receive content data to and from a first communication terminal and not to transmit content data to a second communication terminal but to receive content data from the second communication terminal, in a predetermined transmission band; and a receiver that receives selection of a second communication terminal with which second communication is to be established. When the second communication is established with the second communication terminal selection of which is received, the executor controls the communicator to transmit and receive content data to and from the second communication terminal selection of which is received.
