    摘要: Disclosed is a position detecting method and apparatus which are suitable for detecting the position of a moving body on the basis of the output of a position detector for generating two-phase periodic waves having a phase difference of a quarter period, the method comprising the steps of: comparing either one of the two-phase periodic waves with a predetermined reference value having hysteresis to thereby obtain a roughly estimated position for every half period of the one periodic wave; analog-to-digital converting the two-phase periodic waves and a zero-cross value for every sampling period to thereby obtain a finely estimated position; and detecting the position of the moving body on the basis of the roughly estimated position and the finely estimated position while correcting an error due to the hysteresis at the starting point of the roughly estimated position, by use of the relationship between the roughly estimated position and the finely estimated position. According to this method/apparatus, continuity between the roughly estimated position and the finely estimated position can be maintained, so that exact and high-resolution position detection can be performed.

    摘要: AC power supply is converted to DC by a rectifier circuit. The DC is stepped up by a step-up chopper circuit. The output of the step-up chopper circuit is smoothed by a smoothing circuit. The output of the smoothing circuit is input to an inverter via a current detecting circuit and a voltage detecting circuit. A synchronous motor is connected to the inverter. When the speed of the synchronous motor is judged to be in a high speed region based on the output signal of the voltage detecting circuit, the first speed control apparatus operates the interrupting control of the switching element of the step-up chopper circuit in such a manner that a deviation speed between an instruction speed signal to the motor and the detected speed of the motor reaches to zero. When the duty ratio of the inverter reaches to 100%, that is, when the speed of the motor reaches to a low speed region, the first control speed apparatus controls the switching element of the step-up chopper circuit based on the output signal of the current detecting circuit, and the second control speed apparatus carries out the pulse width modulation control of the inverter in such a manner that a deviation speed signal between an speed instruction signal to the motor and the detected speed of the motor reaches to zero.

    摘要: Magnetic poles are provided continuously with a pitch .lambda. on the peripheral portion of a drum rotated in accordance with a movement of a moving body. A magnetic sensor is provided in opposition to these poles. The sensor is formed of two magnetoresistive element pairs which are spaced from each other at .lambda./6, and the two elements in each pair are arranged in positions spaced from each other at .lambda./2. The two elements in each pair are connected in series to form a bridge circuit. The signals obtained from the nodes of the series-connected elements in the two element pairs are differentially amplified so that third harmonic wave components are eliminated, and a signal having no distortion and representative of the position or speed of the moving body can be obtained.

    摘要: A position-detecting sensor comprises a magnetic recording medium carried on a moving object and having a signal track recording a magnetic signal, a first MR element disposed nearby the magnetic recording medium and varying its internal resistance by sensing the magnetism of the magnetic recording medium, and a magnetic sensor electrically picking up resistance variation of the MR element and detecting the magnetic signal of the magnetic recording medium. In the position-detecting sensor, the present invention is arranged by providing a second magnetic signal track on the magnetic recording medium in addition to the signal track, disposing a second MR element nearby the second magnetic signal track. The variation of a gap between the magnetic recording medium and the magnetic sensor is detected as resistance variation of the second MR element. And the detected signal is serviceable as correcting the output picked up by the first MR element.

    摘要: The invention discloses a movement detecting device for detecting the movement state of a moving body such as a rotating body, in which a magnetic recording medium on which N and S magnetic poles are alternately recorded at a constant interval is fixed symmetrically with respect to a rotary shaft of a rotating body whose rotation state is to be detected, and an MR element comprising magnet-resistive elements is mounted at a fixed position relative to the magnetic recording medium so that the rotation state of the rotating body can be detected from variation of the values of resistance of the magnet-resistive elements caused by the rotation of the body. N and S poles are recorded on the magnetic recording medium with a small pole pitch P. The magnet-resistive elements are formed to have a width sufficiently smaller than the pole pitch. The magnet-resistive elements constitute a first group and a second group, the magnet-resistive elements of each group being disposed with an interval equal to the pole pitch or half the pole pitch. The magnet-resistive elements are disposed in such a manner that the interval between the groups is deviated from the pole pitch, whereby a circuit comprising these magnet-resistive elements can detect the rotation of the rotating body.

    摘要: An encoder with a position detecting device is disclosed which is applicable to a brushless motor or the like, and includes a rotating body provided on a surface thereof with a magnetic material and magnetoresistive elements disposed opposite to and in close proximity to said magnetic material. The rotating body is provided with an encoding track in which a magnetic signal has been recorded in a predetermined direction of magnetization, and a position detecting track in which a magnetic signal has been recorded in a direction of magnetization intersecting with the predetermined direction of magnetization. The magnetoresistive elements are formed on an insulating substrate and face the tracks. Further, the magnetoresistive elements are arranged side by side in a radial direction of the rotating body and each of the magnetoresistive elements is placed so that the magnetoresistive element intersects the direction of magnetization in a track facing the magnetoresistive element, to make small the magnetoresistive element supporting substrate, thereby making the whole of the encoder small in size, and to prevent magnetic interference between the encoding track and position detecting track, thereby enhancing the performance of the encoder with the position detecting device.

    摘要: A motor speed control method and system allow the motor to be accelerated to the steady state in the minimum time even under conditions of varying load torque, varying load inertia and varying power voltage. The motor is controlled by a voltage including a component of proportional term which is a function of a difference between a command speed and a detected speed, and a component of integral term which is summed during an acceleration phase. The acceleration of the motor during the starting process is measured and the integral term is modified basing on the result. The integral term may be memorized so that it is used as the integral term when the subsequent starting phase is completed. The integral term may be obtained from the acceleration and deceleration in the starting process.

    摘要: A control process and apparatus for positioning an electric motor provided with a rotation angle detector at a designated position positively at a high speed without being accompanied with hunting notwithstanding variation in the motor current and inertia of a load. The control process activated upon starting of the motor and ending at the stoppage of the motor at the designated position includes a first control region in which acceleration of the motor having been started is detected and subsequently a constant speed operation of the motor is effected at a maximum speed. A deceleration initiating time point is determined in dependence on the acceleration. A second control region is provided in which the motor is decelerated in accordance with a deceleration pattern determined in dependence on a rotation angle extending between a position corresponding to the deceleration initiating time point and the commanded stop position, and motor torque and inertia of load is detected at the deceleration initiating time point. During a third control region the motor is progressively decelerated by reducing correspondingly the gain of voltage (current) applied to the motor when the motor position approaches to the commanded stop position. The control process also includes a fourth control region in which, when the motor stops short of or beyond the commanded position, the duty ratio of voltage applied to the motor is progressively increased to thereby re-start the motor toward the commanded position, and a fifth control region in which the motor is held at the commanded stop position.
