A time synchronization method and system for a multi-core system are provided. The time synchronization method comprises: establishing at least one clock synchronization domain, and respectively allocating each core to each clock synchronization domain; selecting a core with a lowest load in each clock synchronization domain as a master clock synchronization source in the clock synchronization domain, and selecting the clock synchronization domain having the master clock synchronization source with a lowest load as a master clock synchronization domain, while other clock synchronization domains as slave clock synchronization domains; the master clock synchronization domain sending a synchronization deviation detection message to each slave clock synchronization domain, and calculating a time deviation value; when the time deviation value is greater than a permitted deviation value, the master clock synchronization domain calculating a time adjustment quantity and releasing to each slave clock synchronization domain, making adjustment based on its time adjustment quantity.

The invention provides a synthetic route from sarsasapogenin to timosaponin BII and related compounds. A diketone intermediate is provided, which can advantageously be used for in situ assembly of complex sugar moieties of the desired glycone end product. The diketone compound is then selectively reduced using a borohydride reducing agent to form the desired end product, certain of the end products and intermediates are novel compounds perse.
Abstract:
An ion discharge gyroscope measures rotational motion and linear acceleration by generating symmetrical ion jet streams and measuring respective amounts of the jet streams impinging on detectors located so as to intercept the ion jet streams. The ion jet streams will be diverted by operation of the Coriolis effect and the differences in the amount of each ion jet stream impinging on the detectors is an indication of rotational motion and linear acceleration. In one embodiment, the ion jet streams are heated and the respective temperatures of the detectors are measured. In another embodiment, the amounts of current flowing through each detector, as contributed by the ion jet streams, are measured and used to determine rotation and acceleration.

A method, a system, a document management server, a presence server and a delegation check processing unit for setting configuration information of a presentity client are used to solve the problem that the setting of configuration information must be done by a presentity client and cannot be delegated to other entities. The method for setting configuration information of a presentity client includes the processes of: determining a configuration request message sent from a configuration request sender is in delegation mode; confirming qualification of the configuration request sender according to delegation setting authorization rules set by the presentity client; and setting the configuration information of the presentity client according to the configuration request message.

A transparent anti-reflective article includes a transparent substrate having a first refractive index and a first surface. An anti-reflective layer is formed within the first surface of the transparent substrate through use of one of nanosphere lithography, deep ultra-violet photolithography, electron beam lithography, and nano-imprinting. The anti-reflective layer includes a subwavelength nano-structured second surface including a plurality of protuberances. Such protuberances have a predetermined maximum distance between adjacent protuberances and a predetermined height for a given wavelength such that the anti-reflective layer includes a second refractive index lower than the first refractive index to minimize light diffraction and random scattering therethrough. The predetermined height is approximately equal to a quarter of the given wavelength divided by the second refractive index.

The service program unit determines a package request sequence by which the computer node issues one or more package requests according to a type of the computing node, so as to pre-read a subsequent package from an external storage device into the cache before the computing node issues a request for the subsequent package.

A method of managing an Extensible Markup Language (XML) document is provided. The method includes a XML server receiving the request of XML document management operation sending from the XML Document Management (XDM) client. The request carries the document identifier and the state information. The XDM server changes the state of the document corresponding to the document identifier to the state that corresponding to the state information.
