    摘要: A flexible display panel includes a flexible panel body and at least one integrated circuit driver (IC driver). The flexible panel body has a first end surface, a second end surface, a plurality of side surfaces and at least one convex cambered surface. The first end surface has a display area. The second end surface is opposite to the first end surface. Each of the side surfaces connects the first end surface and the second end surface. Each adjacent two of the side surfaces connect each other. The convex cambered surface connects adjacent two of the side surfaces and connects the first end surface and the second end surface. The IC driver is disposed at the flexible panel body, located outside the display area, and adjacent to the convex cambered surface. In addition, another flexible display panel having a gravity-changing device is also provided.

A method of fabricating a flexible color filter comprises the steps of: forming a flexible substrate on a rigidly substrate; forming a color filter film comprising a plurality of color filter patterns; and separating the flexible substrate from the rigidly substrate. Since the color filter film is formed before separating the flexible substrate from the rigid substrate, the flexible color filter may have good resolution and process yield.

    摘要: A flexible display device includes a display panel and a plurality of curving-restricting structures. The display panel has a display surface and a bottom surface opposite thereto. The display surface has a visible region and an outer region surrounding the visible region. The curving-restricting structures may be disposed on at least one of the outer region of the display surface and the bottom surface of the display panel. Each curving-restricting structure has a top surface and at least a slanted side wall. The top surfaces of adjacent curving-restricting structures are spaced with each other, and the slanted side walls of adjacent curving-restricting structures face each other. When the flexible display device are curved to a predetermined extent, adjacent curving-restricting structures may resist against with each other to prevent the display panel from being unduly curved to be damaged, and thus a use reliability of the flexible display device is improved.

    摘要: A carrier applicable to a laser releasing process and for carrying at least a flexible display panel is provided. The flexible display panel is formed on a transparent substrate and includes a display main body and a driving circuit module connected to an edge of the display main body. The carrier includes a carrying plate having at least a carrying area for carrying the flexible display panel and a protecting cover disposed on the carrying plate and located at an edge of the carrying area. A receiving space is formed between the protecting cover and the carrying plate for receiving the driving circuit module. The protecting cover is for shielding the driving circuit module to prevent the driving circuit module from being irradiated by a laser beam in the laser releasing process. A method for manufacturing flexible display panel also is provided.

    摘要: In a fabricating method of flexible display device, firstly, a sacrificial layer is formed on a first rigid substrate. Secondly, a first flexible substrate is formed on the sacrificial layer. The bonding force of the sacrificial layer absorbing a breaking-bond light may be broken and the first flexible substrate is transparent for the breaking-bond light. Moreover, the transmission rate of visible light of the first flexible substrate is larger than that of the sacrificial layer. Then, the sacrificial layer is illuminated by the breaking-bond light for breaking the bonding force of the sacrificial layer to separate the first rigid substrate from the first flexible substrate. Since the first rigid substrate has a high transmission rate of visible light, may be separated from the first flexible substrate by the first breaking-bond light with low energy, the cost of fabricating the flexible display device may display the images with real color. Therefore, the chromatic performance of the flexible display device may be enhanced.

    摘要: In an apparatus for manufacturing an electrophoretic display, the electrophoretic display includes a backside plate having a cover area and a display structure. The display structure is arranged on the backside plate and a rear surface thereof facing toward the backside plate has an area less than the cover area. The apparatus includes a main body and a pressure-supplying member. The main body includes a receiving cavity, a supporting surface and a plurality of absorption holes. The receiving cavity is configured to receive the display structure therein. The supporting surface is located at the bottom of the receiving cavity. The absorption holes are arranged at the bottom of the receiving cavity and each penetrates through the supporting surface. The absorption holes are configured to vacuum absorb the display structure on the supporting surface via vacuum absorption means. The pressure-supplying member is configured to apply a pressure onto the backside plate so as to stack the backside plate on the rear surface of the display structure. The present invention also provides a method for manufacturing an electrophoretic display.

    摘要: In a flexible display panel and a fabricating method thereof, the flexible display panel includes a flexible substrate, a plurality of electro-phoretic pixel units, a plurality of electro-wetting pixel units, a transparent protective layer and a driving circuit. The electro-phoretic pixel units and the electro-wetting pixel units are formed in a first displaying area and a second displaying area of the flexible substrate respectively. The transparent protective layer is formed on the electro-phoretic pixel units and the electro-wetting pixel units, and the driving circuit is formed in the non-displaying area of the flexible substrate and electrically connected to the electro-phoretic pixel units and the electro-wetting pixel units. The flexible display panel may display static pictures through the electro-phoretic pixel units and display animation through the electro-wetting pixel units. Therefore, the flexible display panel has both the abilities for saving power and displaying animation.
