摘要: A connector comprises a housing including a terminal receiving chamber into which a terminal is insertable; a partition wall dividing an internal space of the terminal receiving chamber into a first portion and a second portion, the partition wall having a hole through which the terminal is extended from the first portion into the second portion when the terminal is inserted into the terminal receiving chamber; and micro-capsules each containing an adhesive solution, the micro-capsules being provided at least on an inner surface of the hole. In the connector, when the terminal is inserted into the terminal receiving chamber, the micro-capsules are ruptured by a pressure produced when the terminal is fitted in the hole of the partition wall, so that the adhesive solution is released from the micro-capsules and adhesively bonds the terminal to the inner surface of the hole in a liquid-tight manner.

摘要: An efficient encoding/decoding apparatus of this invention comprises orthogonal transform element (10) for orthogonally transforming a digital signal obtained by allowing an analog signal to undergo analog/digital conversion, quantizer (11) for quantizing the digital signal which has undergone orthogonal transform processing, inverse quantizer (21) for inverse-quantizing a digital signal which is not yet caused to undergo inverse orthogonal transform processing, and inverse orthogonal transform element (20) for inverse-orthogonally transforming the orthogonally transformed digital signal, wherein rounding in even number direction or rounding in odd number direction is used in at least one of the orthogonal transform processing and the inverse orthogonal transform processing. Thus, accumulation of rounding errors at the time of, e.g., such a direct digital dubbing to repeatedly encode/decode digital signals such as video signals, etc. is prevented, thus making it possible to reduce picture deterioration of multi-generation characteristic.

摘要: A method of self-diagnosis in a digital signal processing system. The digital signal processing system comprises a digital signal processing apparatus which includes a plurality of electronic components for processing signals in a plurality of channels. An output of the digital signal processing apparatus is coupled to an input of the digital signal processing apparatus. A central processing unit causes one after another of the electronic components to generate a predetermined signal while the other electronic parts are in a condition for passing the predetermined signal therethrough. The CPU then checks whether or not the output of the digital signal processing apparatus is correct. When the output of the digital signal processing apparatus is not correct, the central processing unit outputs a unique reference number for the electronic component from which the predetermined signal was then generated. The reference number for the electronic component is visually indicated on a bar graph meter.

摘要: A cross fader for editing audio signals has first and second bus lines, each including a plurality of channel signal lines and first and second plural selecting and indicating switches, each corresponding to the signal line of the first and second bus lines, for selecting the corresponding signal line responsive to the switching operation and for visually indicating the selected modes of the signal line. A fader mixes signals from the first and second selecting and indicating switches for outputting a mixed signal and for variably controlling the mixing ratio of the signals according to the movement of an operation knob. The first and second selecting and indicating switches are arranged so that said first and second switches are related with one end and the other end of the movement of the operation knob, respectively.

摘要: Digital audio and video signals are recorded on successive tracks which extend obliquely formed on a video tape, and reproduced therefrom by reproducing heads which are movable in a direction transverse to the tracks by means of a bimorph device so that a plurality of tracks, corresponding to one field video and audio signals, are skipped in a variable tape speed mode. Tracks provided for the audio signal are arranged at opposite ends of the video tracks. In a mode where the head skips one field, the signal amplitude level of the audio signal reproduced from one end portion of the audio tracks is controlled so as to be gradually reduced and a signal amplitude level of the audio signal reproduced from the other end portion of a different field track portion is controlled so as to be gradually increased so that cross-fading thereof is effected.
