Abstract: An incline mechanism for a treadmill includes a threaded rod supported by an upright structure. The threaded rod and a lift motor are connected to the upright support above the front end of an exercise deck. The threaded rod is threaded onto a threaded coupler. The threaded coupler is connected to a lift trolley connected to the front end of the exercise deck. As the lift motor rotates the threaded rod, the threaded coupler may move along the length of the threaded rod, thereby changing the inclination of the exercise deck.

Abstract: A pedaled drivetrain includes a drive mechanism, a wheel, a freewheel hub, and a locking mechanism. The wheel has a rotational axis. The freewheel hub connects the drive mechanism to the wheel, and the freewheel hub transmits torque from the drive mechanism to the wheel in a first rotational direction around the rotational axis. The locking mechanism has a locked state and an unlocked state. The locked state rotationally fixes a component of the drive mechanism to the wheel relative to the rotational axis.

Abstract: An exercise machine may include a frame, a resistance mechanism supported by the frame, first and second pull cables supported by the frame and linked to the resistance mechanism, a power rack attached to the frame, first and second handles selectively attachable to the first and second pull cable, and first and second pulleys. The power rack includes upright posts configured to have barbell holders adjustably attached thereto such that the barbell holders are configured to be adjusted in various positions between highest positions and lowest positions on the upright posts. The pulleys are configured to selectively receive the pull cables to enable the pull cables to be selectively attached to a barbell to assist or hinder a user in lifting the barbell in a combined cable and free weight workout, the pull cables decoupled from the pulleys for cable workouts.

Abstract: A magnetic clutch transitions a drivetrain or flywheel between a freewheel or unlocked mode or configuration and a locked or fixed gear mode or configuration. The magnetic clutch includes a rotor rotationally fixed to the pedals of the drivetrain. An armature is connected to the flywheel. A field coil generates a magnetic field which causes the armature to move to the flywheel. Friction between the armature and the rotor rotationally fixes the flywheel to the rotor.

Abstract: An adjustable kettlebell system includes a base having a rod extending from the base. A selector is threaded onto the rod. The rod and selector extend through a plurality of weight supports. Each weight support is connected to an underlying weight support with a connector. As the selector is moved along the length of the rod by rotating the rod, the selector causes the connector to disengage with the underlying weight support. The adjustable kettlebell is then removed without the underlying weight support connected to the handle.

Abstract: A treadmill includes a platform where the platform includes a first side panel and a second side panel spaced apart at a distance from the first side panel, and a gap defined between the first side panel and the second side panel. The treadmill also includes a running deck contained within the platform and exposed within the gap, a first pulley connected to the running deck, a second pulley connected to the running deck opposite the first pulley, a tread belt surrounding the first pulley and the second pulley. A motor is in mechanical communication with at least one of the first pulley or the second pulley. A cover is located over the motor. A scale mechanism is incorporated into the cover over the motor.
