    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for defining and modifying behavior in an extended reality environment. The systems and methods include receiving a request to build or modify a rule or policy for a given user or activity, obtaining a template based on the user or the activity, displaying the template and tools for editing the template, receiving a modification to the template via the user interacting with the tools of the user interface, and modifying the template based on the modification to generate the rule or policy. The modification includes changing the initial value for the actions or the conditions of the template and saving the template as a separate instance representative of the rule or policy, and the rule or policy includes one or more conditional statements for executing one or more of the actions based on evaluation of one or more of the conditions.

    Abstract: An audio system comprises a plurality of membranes within an enclosure. A first surface of each of the plurality of membranes is part of a shared back volume within the enclosure and pressure within the shared back volume is configured to be isobaric. A second surface of each of the membranes is part of a front volume within the enclosure that includes a plurality of ports. A controller of the audio system is configured to drive the plurality of membranes. In a mode of operation, the controller is configured to match audio output between the plurality of ports, forming pressure waves of equal amplitude and opposite phase and generating a substantially dipole or linear quadrupole sound wave radiation pattern for frequencies above a predefined threshold and mismatch audio output between the plurality of ports for frequencies at or below the predefined threshold to generate a substantially monopole or cardioid sound wave radiation pattern.

    Abstract: A method for training a three-dimensional model face animation model from speech, is provided. The method includes determining a first correlation value for a facial feature based on an audio waveform from a first subject, generating a first mesh for a lower portion of a human face, based on the facial feature and the first correlation value, updating the first correlation value when a difference between the first mesh and a ground truth image of the first subject is greater than a pre-selected threshold, and providing a three-dimensional model of the human face animated by speech to an immersive reality application accessed by a client device based on the difference between the first mesh and the ground truth image of the first subject. A non-transitory, computer-readable medium storing instructions to cause a system to perform the above method, and the system, are also provided.

    Abstract: A headset includes a thermal frame disposed within a housing. A printed circuit board (PCB) is thermally coupled to the thermal frame. Heat generated by one or more electrical components on the PCB is transmitted to the thermal frame, which distributes the heat uniformly throughout the headset. A first heat pipe is disposed on a first side of the PCB in contact with at least a portion of the thermal frame, the PCB, and/or an electrical component disposed on the PCB to draw heat from the electrical component, and a second heat pipe is disposed proximate a second side of the PCB and is configured to draw heat from second side of the PCB.

    Abstract: In one embodiment, a computing may display an artificial reality environment to a user wearing an artificial reality device. The artificial reality environment may include at least a first virtual object. The computing system may monitor a motion of a first gesture performed by the user when interacting with the first virtual object. The computing system may determine, using a motion-stabilization profile of the user, a motional range associated with the user. The computing system may compare the motion of the first gesture performed by the user with the motional range associated with the user. The computing system may stabilize one or more second gestures performed by the user during subsequent user interactions in the artificial reality environment responsive to determining that the motion of the first gesture performed by the user exceeds the motional range.

    Abstract: A micro-light emitting diode (micro-LED) device includes semiconductor mesa structures, and waveguides and grating couplers in regions of a semiconductor layer between the semiconductor mesa structures. At least some light emitted in the active region of each semiconductor mesa structure can be coupled into and guided by a waveguide towards a grating coupler. The grating coupler is configured to diffract the guided light out of the micro-LED device, for example, in a direction substantially perpendicular to the light-emitting surface of the micro-LED device, through regions between the semiconductor mesa structures.
