Abstract:
A boxing device may include a substrate, at least one impact sensor carried by the substrate for detecting impacts from the at least one user, a user input device for receiving personal characteristic data for the at least one user, and a controller coupled to the impact sensor and the user input device. The controller may be for determining performance data based upon detected impacts, and weighting the performance data based upon the personal characteristic of the at least one user.
Abstract:
Aspects of the invention include providing a mixed-use training device that solves a number of problems with the prior art by providing for a dynamically adjustable height setting for weight bags and allowing for a greater radius of clearance and movement around the training device which allows the user the ability to perform a more diverse training regimen, without requiring the constant re-configuration of the training device.
Abstract:
A punching bag is provided. The punching bag is positioned on a fixed pillar, and comprises a supporting frame, a foam layer, a force-bearing plate, and a punch pad. The supporting frame is attached and fastened to the fixed pillar. The foam layer is disposed on the supporting frame, and at least a sensing element is positioned on a surface of the foam layer for measuring an external punch force. The force-bearing plate is disposed on the foam layer and utilized for covering the foam layer, wherein at least an elastic element correspondingly attached to the at least a sensing element is positioned on an inner side of the force-bearing plate. The punch pad is utilized for covering and attaching to the force-bearing plate to bear the external punch force.
Abstract:
One embodiment of an exercising device may include a pair of base members adapted to be placed on a surface in a spaced apart relation to each other. The exercising device may also include a pair of side bars. Each side bar of the pair of side bars is vertically supported by respective base member of the pair of base members. Further, the exercising device may include a cross-bar horizontally supported by the pair of side bars at a distance away from the pair of base members to configure an assembled state of the exercising device. The assembled state of the exercising device may facilitate in performing multiple exercises. The pair of base members may be adapted to removably engage with each other and to receive the pair of side bars and the cross-bar to configure a folded state of the exercising device.
Abstract:
An inflatable cushion bag for striking includes an outer wall and an inner wall that is positioned inside and longitudinally with the outer wall looped around the inner wall. A first radial wall is joined to each of and connects between the outer wall and the inner wall at a first end and is sealed so that free airflow is blocked at the first end. A second radial wall is joined to each of and connects between the outer wall and the inner wall at a second end and is sealed so that free airflow is blocked at the second end. At least one intermediate radial wall is placed longitudinally between the first radial wall and the second radial wall and transversely between the outer wall and the inner wall. The intermediate radial wall may have a small opening such as a hole with a diameter less than ½ inches or an equivalent so that the opening allows a slow airflow through the intermediate radial wall for inflating or deflating the bag and, when inflated, restricts airflow through the opening to give a shock absorber effect to make the outer wall an added cushion when punched or kicked.
Abstract:
A boxing device that fights back in response to an attackers blows to simulate a boxing match comprises a boxing bag, a pair of padded arms each having a boxing glove at its end, and a pair of reel type pieces wherein each of said reel type piece works as an axis holding each a padded arm that rotates around the piece in response to an impact applied to the boxing bag.
Abstract:
A multi-station boxing center is provided. The multi-station boxing center has a base arranged to be positioned on a generally horizontal support surface and a canted frame having a means for supporting a heavy bag and a means for supporting a speedbag. The multi-station boxing center frame is positioned at an angle with said horizontal support surface such that the effective center of gravity of the boxing center prevents tipping of said boxing center. The multi-station boxing center base is disposed so as to prevent interference with the movement of a user.
Abstract:
The invention allows individuals to exercise various aspects of sports. It could be used to develop speed, timing, focus, power, distance, footwork, increase stamina and compact power in sports such as: karate, kickboxing, escrima, football, soccer, etc. And in jobs such as: personal trainers, law enforcement, bodyguards security, boxers, or persons that uses punching/heavybags to further hone or improve their training and sports ability by changing the depth/distance and creating unanticipated movements because of the uncertainty of the movements of the objects hanging on the device to increase their awareness and agility.
Abstract:
A liquid-fillable heavy training bag includes a cylindrical flexible outer shell having top and bottom walls to form a generally closed cylindrical inner surface. Suitable support is provided for suspending the cylindrical outer shell from an upper support member, such as a ceiling. A generally cylindrical liquid-impermeable flexible liner is provided within the outer shell for receiving and containing a liquid medium such as water. The liner is configured and dimensioned to generally conform to the shape of the inner surface of the outer shell when the liner is fully expanded, such as when filled with water. An intermediate layer is provided made of compressible material and arranged between and contacting the outer shell and the liner when the liner is filled with liquid. The intermediate layer forms a cushion for absorbing external impacts to the outer shell and absorbs and attenuates shock waves imparted to the liquid medium within the liner to protect the liner and better simulate the feel of a conventional, non-liquid filled heavy bag.
Abstract:
A kit of parts is provided for assembly into exercise apparatus of various configurations, as desired and defined by the user. The apparatus, when configured to form a supporting cell, conveniently allows the attachment of a plurality of exercise devices of the same or different type while, in addition, can be used as a storage center for items normally found at a fitness center such as bands, weights, balls, bars, barbells, etc.
