    摘要： A tile saw includes a base, and a table movably coupled to the base and moveable in a first plane between a first position and a second position to cut a workpiece. A blade assembly has a saw blade rotatable within a second plane that is perpendicular to the first plane to cut the workpiece as the table moves between the first position and the second position. The tile saw further includes a support arm fixedly coupling the blade assembly to the base via a support arm mount, and an adjustment mechanism received by the support arm mount and the base. The adjustment mechanism is movable between a first adjustment position and a second adjustment position to adjust the position of the saw blade. Adjusting the saw blade includes at least one of translating the saw blade to a third plane parallel to the second plane and pivoting the support arm to change the yaw of the saw blade.

    摘要： A tile or masonry saw assembly may include a saw, a frame, and a workpiece support. The saw includes a motor operable to turn a blade assembly to cut a workpiece. The frame is operably coupled to the saw to enable the saw to be moved along the frame in a first direction. The workpiece support is operably coupled to the frame to support the workpiece relative to the saw, and to allow the workpiece support to be moved along the frame. The saw assembly further includes a movement assembly via which both movement of the workpiece support and movement of the saw relative to the frame is accomplished, such that a movement of the work piece support along the frame in a second direction is enabled to cause the saw to move along the frame in the first direction which is opposite the second direction.

A first rail is fixedly coupled to the base and extends in a longitudinal direction, and a first bearing member is coupled to the table. The first bearing member moves along the first rail so that the table is moveable relative to the base in the longitudinal direction between a cantilevered position and an uncantilevered position, without any movement of the table relative to the first bearing member. The first bearing member is directly in contact with the first rail in both the cantilevered and uncantilevered positions.

    摘要： A bimodal tile saw includes a tray supported on a base extending in a first direction and a water-cooled saw unit suspended from a telescoping arm. Both the tray and the saw unit move relative to the base along the first direction. In a first mode, the saw unit is fixed and the substrate is fed to the saw unit by advancing the tray. In a second mode, the table is fixed and the telescoping arm is advanced using ergonomic handles to bring the blade into contact with the substrate. A laser cutting guide casts a precise beam across the work piece for accurate cutting. An integrated handtruck, having a handle and folding legs actuated by gas pistons allows easy transport and setup of the tile saw. During use, a retractable foot elevates the wheels off of the ground. Water shields protect the saw unit's motor and external environment.

It also includes two or more cross-members that connect the first and second side members together as well as a cantilever member that lies mounted to one of the other members and extends outwardly of that other member. A tray movably mounted on the frame holds an object for cutting; and a motor and blade assembly mounted to the cantilever member cuts the object. The method of forming this apparatus includes forming openings in the side members and inserting end portions of the cross-members into the opening to form a frame in which the cross-members are parallel to each other and perpendicular to the side members.
