Abstract: An invisible tracing or drawing activity utilizes a universal self-adjusting UV lamp which forms part of or can attach to a grip which slides onto most writing instruments. The grip is flexible and can stretch to adjust so as to accommodate various sizes of drawing utensils. Blueish (UV) light will reveal hidden artwork that can be traced, drawn, or colored within. Coloring books act as collections of different and unique hidden artwork that can occupy a child's attention for hours, days, or in some circumstances, even weeks.

Abstract: A template, such as a quilting template, is configured as a relatively thin piece of material having a first circular portion disposed at a first end of the template and a second circular portion disposed at a second end of the template. The template further includes a concave curve portion disposed between the first end and the second end along a first side edge of the template, a linear curve portion disposed between the first end and the second end along a second side edge of the template, and a set of guide markings. In use, a user can utilize the template to cut, for example, heart-shaped, flower-shaped, or leave-shaped elements, from a piece of material. With such a configuration, the template allows the user to cut a variety of differently sized and shaped elements directly from the material, without requiring the creation of multiple patterns.

Abstract: A magnetic drawing tablet apparatus comprising a stationary base housing and a screen housing movable with respect thereto. The screen housing will contain a magnetic drawing screen which is sealed and includes writing medium suspended therein which can create an image on the screen responsive to contacting thereof with a magnetic stylus. An magnetic erasing member is secured with respect to the base and extends into the screen housing to a position adjacent the magnetic screen. When the screen housing is moved between a docked position engaging the base and an extended position away from the base, erasing of images on the magnetic screen is achieved by passing the magnetic screen adjacently over the magnetic eraser. Sliding the screen housing relative to the base will preferably expose a decorative panel therebeneath. A receptacle in the base may be provided for storage of drawings templates and a magnetic style for writing may be mounted in a hole defined in the base.

Abstract: In one embodiment of the invention, photo-chromic light drawing sets are disclosed including a photo-chromic page and a light pen. The photo-chromic page includes a flat transparent substrate having a page-like shape and one or more layers of photo-chromic ink applied onto the substrate. The flat transparent substrate to display an object underneath, and the one of more layers of photo-chromic ink are substantially transparent in an inactive state. The light pen selectively generates an activating light to shine onto the photo-chromic page and activate a portion of the one of more layers of photo-chromic ink. The activated portion of the one or more layers of photo-chromic ink is temporarily transformed from the inactive state to an active state in response to the activating light.

A photo-chromic doll playset includes a doll having a substrate; a photo-chromic material applied to the substrate; a light pen to selectively apply a tightly focused activating light output on the photo-chromic material to create narrow lines of activated photo-chromic material. Abstract: In one embodiment of the invention, a doubled ended light pen for photo-chromic toys is disclosed. A doubled ended light pen includes a housing having a first end and a second end, a first ultraviolet light emitting diode (UVLED) mounted near the first end of the housing, a second UVLED mounted near the second end of the housing, and first and second switches mounted in the housing. The housing holds one or more batteries to provide power. The first switch and the second switch respectively switch ON and OFF the power supplied by the one or more batteries to the first UVLED and the second UVLED. When powered on, the first UVLED applies a wide angle activation light while the second UVLED applies a point source activation light to a photo-chromic surface.
