摘要： A packaging container having a container body and a lid unit which is undetachably mounted on the container body. The container body has a neck portion provided with an opening. An external thread cut in the outer periphery of the neck portion, and a lid mounting portion is provided below the external thread. The lid unit has a lid body and a fitting member. The lid body is provided with an internal thread engageable with the external thread of the container body, and has a function of hermetically sealing the opening of the container body. The fitting member is rotatably fitted around the lid mounting portion of the container body, but vertical movement of the fitting member is restricted within a predetermined range. The fitting member is held undetachable from the lid mounting portion by a collar of the container body. The lid body and the fitting member are connected to each other by a connecting member in such a manner that the lower surface of the lid body can rest on and separate from the upper surface of the fitting member.

摘要： A device for controllably retaining a liquid to prevent spillage when the bottle is tilted or inverted for positioning the bottle to discharge the container's liquid contents into the intended orifice. The hydraulically operated plug forms an air tight seal with the smooth inner surface of the neck of the container, permitting the container to be inverted and positioned over the intended receptacle without releasing any fluid. Upon squeezing the flexible container, the lid is forced from the container by the hydraulic pressure exerted on the inner surface of the lid, permitting the liquid to pour freely from the container into the intended receptacle. A tether attaching the plug to an exterior location on the container allows the plug to fall clear of the stream of flow while preventing the plug from becoming lost.

The attaching means has an exterior and an interior, the interior being proximate to the container when the attaching means is in place on the container. The hinged lid further includes a cover connected to the attaching means in a connection area. The cover has an exterior and an interior, the interior being proximate to the container when the cover is closed. A hinge is located in the connection area. The hinge includes a first rib located at the junction of the interior of the cover with the interior of the attaching means. The axis of the first rib is parallel to the axis of the hinge. The hinge also includes a second rib orthogonal to the first rib. A portion of the second rib is located on the exterior of the cover and a portion is located on the exterior of the attaching means. Another hinged lid having a hinge comprising a recess in the attaching means and a foot connected to and actuated by the cover so that it travels in the recess. A bump in the recess interferes with the travel of the foot, and stable positions of the cover are determined by the location of the foot on either side of the bump. The cover of both hinged lids may also be directly attached to the container, in which case a separate attaching means is not required.

The lid includes an integral straw formed with an accordion hinge spaced above an upper surface of the lid with a cap removable therefrom. The boss includes deformable arcuate serrations for enhancing frictional engagement with the cap and the boss. The cap is positioned on the boss for use of the integral straw by an individual and allowing securement of the cap on the boss avoiding loss and abuse of the cap when removed from the straw.

摘要： A unique self-actuating apparatus, basically useful in a wide variety of different type containers; said apparatus serving to automatically bias a substantially flat lid or top cover member from a normally horizontal/closed modality, to an alternate vertical/open modality, via effect of gravity acting thereupon; by virtue of a weighted guide member hingedly affixed to the lid in a manner as to result in the desired function whenever the container is lifted from a rested position. Hence, when combined with a drinking-cup, the novel actuator serves to instantly open a lid by the mere raising of the vessel from the counter surface for a drink--and conversely, snaps the lid shut whenever the cup is returned to rest; thereby providing carefree sanitary and thermal sealing advantages. The system also includes a novel `safety provision` for adaptation of the G-lid principle to a juvenile toy-chest, thereby effectively defeating chance of accidental, or even intentional, return of the lid to the closed position by an infant child, yet is easily reclosed by the parent.
