The conveyor pan connection includes coupling plates which are welded in between the outwardly directed flange strips at the ends of the side profiles of the conveyor pans, a first coupling plate projecting from an end of a first conveyor pan over a joint between conveyor pans and a second coupling plate at the opposing end of a second conveyor pan is set back with respect to the joint. Each coupling plate is comprised of a plate portion, an outwardly projecting coupling pin with a convexly rounded rear face, an outwardly projecting retaining lug on the same face and toward the end of the coupling plate distal to the joint, and one or more integral ribs on the rear side of the plate, such that when the coupling plate is in position on the side profile, the plate portion is concealed between the outwardly directed flange strips.

    摘要: A high-performance chain scraper conveyor is equipped with symmetrical channel belts and with a chain conveyor which can turn around corresponding axles so that in combination with the corresponding shape of the channel belts a considerably longer life and higher capacity can be achieved. The ends of the individual channel belts are equipped with overlap tongues and abutting areas across the entire width of the channel diagonally to the transport direction so that the result is an extremely quiet, highly efficient operation. The unit, therefore, is clearly more economical. Channel and herringbone chain conveyors are fully symmetrical over three axles. This means they can be turned separately or together and have at least twice the life of customary chain scraper conveyors. FIG. 3 is to be used for publication.

According to a preferred embodiment, the connecting plates are splice plates removably connected to a leading end of one segment and a trailing end of an adjacent segment of the upper trough portion, and to the lower trough portion at a position spaced apart from and between the two ends of any segment of the lower trough portion.

    摘要: Connection means for connecting two components such as conveyor channel sections or guide sections includes an elongate connector. The connector is insertible into laterally-open recesses formed in coupling elements attached to the two components. The laterally-open recesses define an elongate aperture which is slightly longer than the connector so that the connector is received within the aperture with a predetermined amount of axial play. A retaining element prevents axial movement of the connector within the aperture by filling up the space available for said predetermined amount of axial play. The retaining element is an annular disc made of corrosion-resistant, resiliently deformable plastics material. That portion of the resilient element which, in use, is positioned at the mouth of the aperture is, at least partially, of reduced wall thickness when compared with the wall thickness of the remaining part of the retaining element. This permits the retaining element to be deformed as it is positioned within said space.

The wedge-shaped member is then held captive within the resilient member, thereby maintaining the retaining device in the fixed position.

    摘要: A pan joint for a scraper conveyor consists of blocks secured to adjacent pans and a connecting bolt for linking the two blocks. The bolt has a shank with an enlarged head at each end. Adjacent end portions of the blocks are each provided along one side with a longitudinal channel and these channels house the shank of the connecting bolt, whilst the heads of the bolt are housed in cavities with which the inner ends of the channels respectively communicate. In the first block at least (and preferably in the second block also) the mouth of the channel is extended for a distance over the cavity to provide a pair of flanges for retaining the bolt head against lateral displacement from the cavity. The total length of the channels is less than the length of the bolt shank, the difference in length being less than the extent of the pair of flanges in the first block, but greater than the extent of the pair of flanges (if any) in the second block. Displaceable stop means in the second block limit longitudinal movement of the bolt in the block so as to hold the bolt head at that end within the cavity.
