Abstract:
An apparatus for transporting and an apparatus for conveying microplates between two locations are provided. The transport includes a pair of rails, a microplate transport carriage for moving along the rails, a rotary platter for loading and unloading microplates on the carriage, a controller for generating signals for controlling the position of the carriage on the rails and the rotation of the platter on the carriage, and a servo for moving the carriage or rotating the platter in response to a control signal. The transport moves microplates along the rails in accord with any of several methods for performing different tasks. The conveyor includes an extendable support frame, a pair of oppositely disposed tensioning elements arranged within the frame, a conveyor belt which wound around the elements and extends as the support frame is extended, and a motor for driving the conveyor belt.
Abstract:
An adjustable length conveyor bed includes conveyor sections that are movably positioned relative to one another and that include at least one belt support or roller at an upper portion of the respective sidewalls. A fixed roller support is mounted to one section and has a fixed roller rotatably mounted thereto. A continuous belt is reeved along a belt routing path around the rollers and defines a conveying surface at and along the support rollers. A guide roller is movable with the other section and relative to the fixed roller to maintain a generally constant tension in the belt as the conveyor bed is adjusted. The sections are movable relative to one another and securable at a desired degree of extension by securing the other section relative to the fixed roller support.
Abstract:
A modular conveyor belt assembly having a plurality of modular links, each of the modular links including a pair of first projecting legs and a pair of second projecting legs, the first projecting legs each having an inwardly projecting engagement element and the second projecting legs each having an engagement slot. The plurality of modular links are interconnected to form a conveyor belt through engagement of the engagement elements in the engagement slots.
Abstract:
A sorting conveyor is composed of a plurality of front wheels and rear wheels each extending in a transverse direction, and a plurality of endless turning bodies wound between the wheels, respectively, each pair of wheels being arranged opposite each other in a longitudinal direction. A receipt section is provided with turning force applying units for turning target endless turning bodies of a target sorting conveyor. This configuration allows one sorting conveyor to handle a plurality of sorted articles and provides a sorting system which is constituted simply and inexpensively on the whole.
Abstract:
A tunnel freezer having a metal belt for carrying product therethrough, wherein the weight of said belt is from 1 kg per square meter of surface area to 6 kg per square meter of surface area.
Abstract:
The crossover conveyor chain system includes a first conveyor chain (S1) and a second conveyor chain (S2) crossing the first conveyor chain (S1) to transfer the product from the first conveyor chain (S1) to the second conveyor chain (S2) while reorienting the product to a direction nearly perpendicular to that on the first conveyor chain (S1). The first conveyor chain (S1) is supported on an end bar (10) or a small-diameter sprocket, and the second conveyor chain (S2) is formed a plurality of chain unit pairs each including at least two types of chain units (A) different in length from each other and a coupling pin (B). Each of the chain units (A) has front convex portions (1) and front concave portions (3), disposed alternately at the front thereof, rear convex portions (2) and rear concave portions (4), disposed alternately at the back thereof, and a transfer overhanging portion (7) formed integrally at one lateral thereof. The transfer overhanging portion (7) has a beveled lower surface (8) formed on the lower side, at the free end, thereof and an inclined upper surface (9) formed on the upper side, at the free end, thereof. Because of this construction, the transfer overhanging portion (7) can be set short, and so it can be formed not easy to flex and break as well as to flex vertically, which assures to transfer the product stably and smoothly and prevent the load (weight) of the product from concentrating on a limited portion of the conveyor chain. Therefore, the crossover conveyor chain system is highly strong, rigid and durable, easy to be designed lightweight and compact, simple in construction, suitable for mass production, easy to assemble, easy to handle, and less expensive.
Abstract:
A chain link (10) of a curved conveyor chain has been proposed, which has a carrying device (12) for transport material. A head part (24) disposed under the carrying device (12) has a lateral bore (40) for a pin (48) of a first adjacent chain link (10). The head part (24) is adjoined by a fork-shaped section (26) with two legs (44), which encompass the head part (24) of a second adjacent chain link (10). The legs (44) and contain lateral bores (46). A pin (48) is also provided, which is contained in the lateral bores (46) of the legs (44) and in the head part (24) of the second adjacent chain link (10). Projections (52) protrude from the legs (44) and are designed to be guided in a guide profile and driven by means of a driving wheel. The object of the invention is to produce a chain link (10), which permits a favorable introduction of force. To this end, the protrusions (52) are disposed between the lateral bores (46) of the legs (44) and the at least one lateral bore (40) of the head part (24), viewed in the transport direction (33).
Abstract:
A movable transport member used in an article conveying system is disposed across and movable along a space between oppositely running conveyors. The transport member has a drive member that continuously rotates as either conveyor moves. An article transfer member carried by the transport member includes an endless drive belt disposed along a transfer path so as to contact and move articles therealong. The article transfer member further comprises a driven rotatable member having an article contacting surface, the transfer path defined between the drive belt and a circumferential portion of the driven rotatable member.
Abstract:
An automatic handling device for flexible flat products, in particular catamenials, comprises: conveying means (2) on the infeed side for the serial guidance of the supplied products (1) in a main infeed direction (3), conveying means (4) on the outfeed side for the intermediate stacker units (5), the compartments (9) of which are charged with products (1), to be led off in a main outfeed direction (7) which is substantially perpendicular to the main infeed direction (3), and a feed head (8) for the products (1) between the conveying means (2, 4) on the infeed side and on the outfeed side, which oscillates about a pivoting axis (18) in the plane spanned by the main infeed direction (3) and outfeed direction (7) such that, during the oscillating motion in the main outfeed direction (7), the end (16) of the feed head (8) that is turned towards the respective intermediate stacker unit (5) is synchronous with the respective 4 compartment (9) of the intermediate stacker unit (5) for a product (1) to be transferred into this compartment (9), and that, during the oscillating motion in the opposite direction, it orients itself toward the next compartment (9).
