Abstract:
A method of cleaning a carpet surface comprises the steps of simultaneously dispensing a cleaning composition and an oxidizing composition that enhances the cleanability of the cleaning composition from separate first and second chambers onto the carpet surface and recovering a soiled cleaning solution from the carpet.
Abstract:
A commercial steam-cleaning laundry machine is configured to use steam instead of dry-cleaning chemicals or water as a primary cleaning agent for garments rotating in a drum of the commercial steam-cleaning laundry machine. In one embodiment of the invention, a steam injector at least partially exposed to an inner surface of the drum is configured to provide a MCU-controlled fresh steam injection into the drum during a cleaning cycle of the commercial steam-cleaning laundry machine. The fresh steam into the commercial steam-cleaning laundry machine is from an outtake of a standalone boiler system which is typically used for a variety of fabric treatment machines in a commercial laundry operation. A debris and clean steam/air separation chamber periodically or continuously separates and/or filters debris, chemicals, and/or other undesirable elements from the drum and evacuates clean or cleaned-up air and moistures to au air-out duct.

Abstract:
A process and apparatus for cleaning and disinfection of textiles and the air from viruses, bacteria and spores, and also for purifying from dust, pollen, odors, etc. in which the employment of water and various other cleaning agents and disinfectants as well is not required includes a lock or chamberin which living beings are able to stay, and piece-goods and textiles, etc. are able to be treated as well. Therein, airborne aerosols (droplets, particles, dust) as well as aerosols and microbes, respectively, adhering to the clothing or body and to the product, respectively, are to be treated. The basic principle shall also be applicable to rooms (e.g. waiting rooms) or stables and under cleanroom conditions as well. Various aspects of the invention include plasma generation, producing an ion current from the plasma, ozone generation and activation, sterilization, oxidation and decomposition of gaseous components, and separation of microbes and aerosols and decomposition thereof.
Abstract:
Fatty branched polyalkoxylates, particularly of the formula: R1O(AO)mR2 (I) where R1 is C8 to C30 aliphatic hydrocarbyl or acyl; AO is predominantly branched alkyleneoxy, particularly propyleneoxy; m is from 2 to 50; and R2 is H or a is C1 to C4 aliphatic hydrocarbyl or acyl, are used as fabric conditioners in CO2 based dry cleaning systems. The cleaning medium may include detergent surfactant and/or non surfactant cleaning additive or may be free from such additives in which case the treatment can be provided in a rinse cycle in a cleaning process.
Abstract:
A manual spray cleaner for removing dirt and stains from fabrics and carpets comprising a spray bottle having two separate chambers and a single dispensing spray outlet for dispensing controlled amounts of liquids from each of the chambers. One of the chambers has a fabric/carpet cleaning composition therein and the other chamber has an oxidizing composition that enhances the cleanability of the fabric/carpet cleaning composition. The fabric/carpet cleaning composition and the oxidizing composition are simultaneously drawn from their respective chambers and mixed together at the time that they are dispensed from the spray bottle. At least one of the oxidizing composition and the fabric/carpet cleaning composition includes a fabric/carpet protectant. The two compositions are mixed before or after they are sprayed from the bottle. The two compositions can be pressurized with an aerosol propellant or drawn from their respective chambers by a mechanical pump.
Abstract:
Textiles are cleaned by first treating soiled areas of the textile with at least one pre-spotter material which is an alcohol polyoxyalkylene derivative or a benzoate ester. The textiles are subsequently dry cleaned in a medium based on liquid C02, typically also including a cleaning additive, particularly a multi-ester. The textile may also be treated with a fabric conditioner, particularly a fatty alcohol or fatty acid branched polyalkoxylate which may be included in the dry cleaning medium or in a subsequent rinse cycle.
Abstract:
Refreshening sheet and method for using it to restore stretched, wrinkled, or odorous garments to wearability without actual laundering. Sheet is a polyester/polyamide microfiber textile sheet with long loop pile on one side and density of 300 grams per square meter. Refreshening sheet is saturated with plain water and tumbled in a rotary dryer along with dry garments for ten to twenty minutes. The refreshening is accomplished by the generated steam and the massaging action of the slightly abrasive loops.
Abstract:
A device for treating a surface to give a cleaning benefit comprises a container (302) containing a cleaning liquid. The liquid can be delivered to an outlet zone (306). By virtue of the outlet zone and a separate defining means (322) which may be provided the cleaning liquid is accurately discharged onto the desired area of the surface. Suitably the cleaning liquid forms a gel patch, which can be peeled away, to remove a stain.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to soil redeposition inhibiting agents, soil redeposition inhibiting articles comprising such soil redeposition inhibiting agents, method for using such soil redeposition inhibiting articles for removing soils from dry or essentially dry fabrics, and systems employing said soil redeposition inhibiting agents such that soil is removed from dry or essentially dry fabrics exposed to the soil redeposition inhibiting agents.
