Abstract:
A slot for releasably storing a tape cartridge is disclosed. The slot comprises an enlargeable receiving portion for releasable insertion of the tape cartridge and a plate for supporting the tape cartridge in the slot. At least a portion of the plate is moveable for enlarging the receiving portion.
Abstract:
A removable media tracking apparatus that is used to track a media case containing at least one data storage device is provided. The apparatus includes a removable media storage enclosure configured to be positioned within the media case, and a tracking device hardware positioned within the removable media storage enclosure. The tracking device hardware is operable to provide a geographical location of the media storage enclosure. A media tracking system is also provided. The system includes a media case, a plurality of media enclosures configured to be positioned within the media case, a data storage device contained in at least one of the media enclosures, a tracking device hardware contained in at least one of the media enclosures, and a tracking software program. The tracking device hardware is operable to communicate a geographical location of the media case to the tracking software program.

Abstract:
A cartridge accommodation case includes a generally rectangular cartridge accommodation top case formed with partitioned rooms for holding plural cartridges and a generally rectangular cartridge accommodation bottom case having partitioned rooms which have substantially the same shape as and opposed to the partitioned rooms of the top case. The top case and the bottom case have the same structure and are provided with projections and recesses which can engage each other. The cartridge accommodation case is given, inside, partitioned rooms which are two times larger in space than the partitioned rooms of the top case and the bottom case when the top case and the bottom case are placed one on the other and the projections and the recesses are engaged with each other. The top case and the bottom case are provided with ribs which are fitted into/with each other when cartridge accommodation cases are stacked.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a case (10) for disk cartridges comprising a containing part (1) adapted to contain the disk cartridges (D), and a lid part (2) which is provided on an opening (1a) of the containing part (1) via a hinge part (3) and adapted to be freely opened and closed. There are provided at least one pair of locking portions (6a), (6b) which are adapted to be engaged with each other in areas near corners (c) of both side faces of the opening (1a) of the containing part (1) and an opening (2a) of the lid part (2). Therefore, the invention has made it possible to provide the case which can be simply manufactured and can obtain sufficient lock holding force required for practical use.
Abstract:
A cassette 5 with longitudinal and transverse dimensions similar to each other is housed in a cassette storing case which can prevent housing of a cassette into the housing case in an incorrect direction and identify a dedicated cassette storing case corresponding to a cassette, while assuring the function of preventing positional shift during stacking. The cassette storing case 1 includes an indicating portion 15 provided on the top surface 1a of the housing case. The indicating portion 15 has a protrusion-and-recess pattern, similar to a design on the cassette, which indicates a housing direction. The cassette storing case 1 further includes a stopper portion 17, provided on the bottom surface 1b of the housing case, for engaging with part 16 of the indicating portion 15 to regulate positional shift when housing cases are stacked with each other.
Abstract:
By enlarging a range, in which an insertion and extraction port is opened, optical disks as stored are made easy to turn over to enable readily retrieve the optical disks as stored. A storage casing includes a bottom plate, a front plate provided on the bottom plate through a first hinge composed of a first bent portion along a first side of the bottom plate, a back plate provided on the bottom plate through a second hinge composed of a second bent portion along a second side opposed to the first side, and a pair of side plates provided on the back plate. When the front plate turns through the first hinge, it turns until engaging parts of turning pieces of the front plate engage with first turning restriction portions, and when the back plate turns through the second hinge, it turns until restriction portions of the side plates engage with second turning restriction portions. The front plate and the back plate are opened outward to enlarge an insertion and extraction port.

Abstract:
A recording medium holder in which a recording medium and a recording device can be kept is supplied. The recording medium holder has an accommodating member (100) for accommodating the recording medium and the recording device, and an auxiliary accommodating member (700) in which a recording medium to be held can be accommodated. The accommodating member (100) has a first accommodating area (200) in which at least one recording medium to be held can be accommodated, and a second accommodating area (300) in which at least one recording device for recording data can be accommodated. The accommodating member (100) has a first member (110), a second member (120) and a link member (130) for linking the first and second members (110) and (120) to fabricate a folder-shaped structure. The auxiliary accommodating member (700) is detachably linked to the link member (130), and located between the first member (110) and the second member (120) when they are folded.
