    Abstract: The rotary cutting tool of the present invention employs roughing and finishing blades on the same tool to produce roughing and finishing cuts in one cutting operation. The rotary cutting tool preferably has a roughing flute adjacent to each roughing blade and a finishing flute adjacent to each finishing blade. In highly preferred embodiments, the finishing flutes are smaller than the roughing flutes. Preferably, each finishing flute is located closer to the preceding roughing flute (with reference to tool rotational direction) than to the following roughing flute. The flutes are therefore preferably unequally spaced. In some highly preferred embodiments, the blades are unequally circumferentially spaced and are immediately behind the flutes. At least one finishing blade preferably extends radially farther than at least one roughing blade. Most preferably, all of the finishing blades extend radially farther than all of the roughing blades.

    Abstract: A deburring tool for performing non-abrasive deburring of metal and other hard-material parts subject to burring. The deburring tool comprises a portion shaped to engage a specific surface on a workpiece, and surfaced with a deburring material comprising the soft, fuzzy, female loop half of ordinary hook and loop fastener. The female loop half of the hook and loop fastening material is non-abrasive, yet is extremely effective at removing small burrs and shavings from metal parts. In a preferred form, the deburring tool forms a two-sided deburring channel or track through which a part such as a hose connector block having a recessed surface needing deburring can be swiped. Both sides of the channel are surfaced with the female loop half of the hook and loop fastener as the deburring medium.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for boring and bolting pallets. The apparatus for boring and bolting pallets comprises an assembly jig for holding and maintaining the positioning of two or more main components, two or more cross components, a plurality of space support components, and a panel top component (collectively, components) wherein the assembly jig holds the components in proper position to form an incomplete pallet; a boring machine for simultaneously boring each intersection of the incomplete pallet in the assembly jig by raising a plurality of drills to the incomplete pallet, resulting in the assembly jig containing a bored pallet having a plurality of bores; and one or more conveyor systems for delivering the assembly jig containing the bored pallet to a bolting table wherein the components are bolted together into a pallet. The method for boring and bolting pallets comprises filling an assembly jig located at a pre-boring station with the components to form an incomplete pallet; simultaneously boring the intersections of the incomplete pallet by raising a plurality of drills to the incomplete pallet, thereby creating a bored pallet; delivering the assembly jig containing the bored pallet form to a bolting table; and bolting together the components of the bored pallet form into a pallet.
