    摘要: An efficient twist drill fir layered drilling comprises a drill bit body, wherein the drill bit body comprises a shank portion and an operation portion; the shank portion is connected with the operation portion; the operation portion has a cutting portion at a front end thereof; a plurality of flutes distributed in parallel and at intervals are symmetrically arranged along a flank surface of the cutting portion; the flutes divide main cutting blades into a plurality of first cutting blades and second cutting blades; and connecting lines of the first cutting blades and the second cutting blades form a step-like structure. During drilling, a drill bit of the twist drill requires a decreased drilling force, produces less cutting heat, is positioned easily and has improved processing efficiency so that a processed circular hole has high precision and few burrs at an edge where the drill bit exits.

At least one of the front-end-cutting cutter tips (132) is, at the same time, a circumferentially-cutting cutter tip whose radially outermost cutting point or cutting edge section projects, in the radial direction (R), beyond the circumferentially-cutting cutter tips (151 152, 153, 154). The circumferentially-cutting cutter tips (151, 152, 153, 154) are made with straight cutting edges and together these cutting edges produce a cylindrical cut contour. Two methods that can be carried out with the drilling and milling tool (100) for producing a through-going bore in a metallic workpiece.

Each major side surface has two distinct relief surfaces which are inclined in opposite directions and merge at a transition surface extending between top and bottom surfaces. A first major cutting edge is defined between the first relief surface and the top surface and a second major cutting edge is defined between the second relief surface and the bottom surface. Each major cutting edge is tangent to an associated transition cutting edge defined between the transition surface and the insert top or insert bottom surface. An insert holder for the insert has three support sections accordant with three abutment sections of the insert.

    摘要: The present invention provides a new drilling tool useful in machining hydraulic port seals for fluid power ports. The drilling tool drills the port hole to size in a solid material for the minor thread diameter in combination with forming the port in a single operation. The drilling tool has a tool holder having a rotational axis, a first drilling insert having cutting surfaces on a first side and a mounting surface on a second side, at least one second drilling insert having a predetermined cutting surface portion and a mounting portion which is mounted on the holder at a location from the rotational axis of the holder. The at least one second drilling insert has first and second portions which engage and machine a work piece in a drilling operation to form a spot face and a seal form.

One embodiment relates generally to a bit holder device for forming apertures and inserting fasteners into a workpiece. This embodiment comprises a tool bit, a hex holder member, an adapter hex member, a double collet member, a collet retention cap and a drill bit. The drill bit is capable of drilling an aperture into a workpiece whereupon the drill bit, the collet retention cap, the double collet member and the adapter hex member are removed from the hex holder member thereby, allowing the tool bit to forcibly insert a fastener into the workpiece.

    摘要: A combination tool for drilling a bore and countersink for that bore includes a countersink member. The countersink member comprises a longitudinal sleeve with a first end and a second end. The sleeve contains a longitudinal bore through the sleeve from the first end to the second end sized to receive a drill bit. A radial slot through the wall of the sleeve is in communication with the longitudinal bore. The sleeve has a cutting edge connected to the first end of the sleeve. A collar containing a radial bore through its wall is slidably inserted over the sleeve. The radial bore is in communication with the radial slot of the countersink member. A fastening mechanism extends through the radial bore of the collar and slot of the countersink member to engage the drill bit inserted through the longitudinal bore of the countersink member and thus secure the drill bit, countersink member and collar relative to one another.
