Abstract:
The invention relates to a bogie for a locomotivewith a bogie framewith at least one wheel set, comprising two wheels, a wheel set gear, a wheel set shaft and a wheel set gear housing;with a push/pull rod, which acts on one side on the bogie frame and on the other side on the locomotive frame and transfers forces between these two.The invention is characterized by the following features:the gear housing of the wheel set exhibits a recess for the feeding through of the push/pull rod;the recess is bordered by walls which are integral with the remaining housing walls.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a handbag comprising front and back panels, which are joined along their sides and their bottom edges to form a receptacle or a bag having an access opening at the top. Each of the front and back panels is formed from a vinyl record. Each panel has a record label disposed in a prominent position. Further, the front and back panels are shaped into matching configurations. In a further aspect of this invention, the handbag is made by tracing a straight line through the center of a vinyl record and disposing a label at the center of the vinyl record. Next, a cylindrical rod is placed along said trace line and heat is applied to the back of said record along said line. A flap is extended from one of the upper edges of the U-shaped record and extending therefrom to the second upper edge to enclose the handbag.
Abstract:
A mobile carriage system includes a pair of end rails (12a, 12c) fixed to a support surface and one or more intermediate rails (12b) located parallel to and between the pair of end rails (12a, 12c). At least one carriage (10) is supported for movement on the end and intermediate rails (12a-c). The carriage (10) includes an elongated frame (17) that spans all of the rails. At least two drive units, each including a pair of wheels (23) and supporting the carriage on a different one of the rails are provided. The drive units are operatively connected to a drive shaft (35) which extends across a plurality of the rails. The drive shaft (35) and each of the drive units are coupled by a drive gear (33) on the shaft which has a substantially smaller diameter than the diameter of driven gears (29) on the units. An electric motor (41) is operatively connected to the drive shaft (35).
Abstract:
A tripper/hopper car rides on a conveyor via four wheel tires running on T-section rails, with respective hold down wheels riding adjacent the underside of the rails and respective caster side wheels riding adjacent the vertical edges of the T-rails. Each wheel tire is driven by a motor drive unit employing a shaft-mount gearbox with a motor brake that utilizes the reduction of the drive gearbox to increase the effective braking torque developed. A pair of caliper-type brakes is further provided for redundancy.

A railway locomotive comprises a pair of axles 19 and 20, Fig. 2, each driven through a worm 27 and gear 28, Fig. 3, and coupled together by a universally jointed shaft 32, and each having a driving torque reaction member comprising an upwardly extending lug 37 attached to the gear housing 25, 26 and centred between frame members 38, 39, wear plates 40, 41, 42 and 43 being provided. The lug 37 and wear plates 40 and 41 may be a sliding fit between the wear plates 42 and 43. In a modification, Fig. 5, compression springs 48 are provided in pockets 47 between the frame members 38, 39 and the lug 46. In both cases the lug has free movement laterally and vertically.
