摘要： A fence post to be coupled to a flexible (e.g., mesh) fence to hold the fence above the ground. The fence post has a shaft to be driven into the ground. A downturned lower fence engaging hook extends from the bottom of the shaft to engage the bottom of the fence. The lower fence engaging hook is embedded in the ground along with the shaft of the fence post in order to hold the bottom of the fence against the ground. The fence post also has an upturned upper fence engaging hook extending from the top of the shaft to engage the top of the fence and hold the top of the fence up and above the ground. An upturned intermediate fence engaging hook extends from the shaft of the fence post between the lower and upper fence engaging hooks to engage the middle of the fence and hold the middle up.

The connector includes a saddle and fork. The saddle includes a base plate and peripheral plates. The base plate is to extend over the gap and partially atop the barriers. The peripheral plates are to be disposed over front and back walls of the barriers. The base plate and peripheral plates define open ends. The fork extends below the base plate and includes a base, flanges, and legs. The base is to he disposed atop the lock between the sidewalls. The flanges are disposed transversely to the base forming a cross-shaped structure to be disposed atop the lock with the flanges extended toward the open ends into the slots. The legs extend separately from the base to straddle the lock between the sidewalls.

摘要： Portable control barriers for use in sporting or entertainment events having a lightweight housing formed of a resiliently deformable material. Each housing has an interior surface defining an internal chamber that can be selectively filled with a ballast. In one embodiment, the housing has opposing end walls, opposing sidewalls, and a substantially flat bottom wall. A spline and groove are each positioned on one of the opposing end walls. The spline and groove are configured to interlock adjacently positioned barriers. In yet another embodiment, a spout and receiving aperture are positioned on opposing end walls. In this embodiment, the spout of one barrier can be received in sealed fluid communication with the receiving port of an adjacent barrier, thereby allowing fluid communication of the ballast between adjacent barriers. Finally, in yet another embodiment, the bottom wall of the housing can be arched so as to form a passageway extending through the barrier. The bottom wall has a surface that is complementary to the top surface of the housing so that a plurality of barriers can be nestably stacked.

摘要： A modular safety lighting system for highway barriers has a light fixture connected between two sections of flexible fluid tight conduit containing four conductors. A male connector is connected to one end of the conduit and conductors and a female connector is connected to the other end of the conduit and conductors. In a first module the light fixture is connected to a first pair of conductors and in a second module the light fixture is connected to a second pair of the conductors. The modules have a length equal to the length of the barrier on which they are to be mounted and are connected alternately in series to illuminate the highway barrier. Suitable power connection modules are provided to connect the system to a standard utility power pole.
