摘要: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for controlling a functional road object. For example, at least one processor receives road sign attribute data indicating at least one attribute of a road sign and receives weather forecast data indicating a weather forecast of a location in which the road sign is disposed. The road sign includes at least one machinery for mitigating exposure to one or more weather conditions. The at least one processor identifies a state of visibility for the road sign using the road sign attribute data and the weather forecast data and generates a control signal for controlling the at least one machinery using the state of visibility.

摘要: A system for illuminating a carriageway in a case of fog includes a road safety barrier arranged along the carriageway, at least one fog density detecting device arranged along the road safety barrier, and a plurality of light sources borne by the road safety barrier, distributed along the road safety barrier, and oriented for each to emit a light beam having a direction that is transversal to an extension axis of the road safety barrier so as to illuminate signage on the carriageway. A control unit that is connected to the light sources and to the fog density detecting device is configured to activate the light sources when the fog density detecting device detects a fog density value of above a threshold value.

摘要: The invention apparatus for and a method of creating a localized warning to prevent damage to buried pipeline and other buried infrastructure using a new type of marker tape with the trade name signal tape® [hereinafter referred to as “Signal Tape”]. The disclosed Signal Tape may incorporate tracer wire and RFID technology to aid in the remote location of the Signal Tape and, thus, the buried infrastructure. Signal Tape may also incorporate Litz wire for use as tracer wire within the Signal Tape. The Signal Tape is designed to be buried just below the surface of the ground and directly over a buried infrastructure such as a pipeline. The Signal Tape incorporates a strong core material which permits the Signal Tape to be bodily removed from the soil when it is struck by excavation equipment.

摘要: A system and method for displaying advertisements on utility poles is provided. In one aspect, the system allows users to generate revenue by placing advertisements on utility poles. The system generally comprises a display, display mount, processor operably connected to the display, power supply, and non-transitory computer-readable medium coupled to the processor and having instructions stored thereon. The user interface allows users to choose content that may be presented via the displays. Chosen content is transferred to the displays by the processor over a network. The displays may be grouped in ways that allow users to control multiple displays at once. Various permission levels may be used to limit which displays users have access too, allowing various degrees of control for each display of the system.

Concealing glass or smart foil may be provided on the screen (10) or ceiling (12) with lights (13), which becomes opaque or translucent when an electric current is applied thereto.

A method for operating the suspended surface assembly is also provided.

摘要: Disclosed are PP/PE copolymer backbone based pre-manufactured thermoplastic airport signage compositions primarily applied in relatively large sections onto airport runways, taxiways, and additional paved surfaces. The composition provides alkali resistant formulations comprising at least 6 weight percent PE/PP, 20 weight percent binder resin with between 5 and 15 weight percent of a tackifier resin, between 2 and 12 weight percent titanium dioxide with an optional organic dye, wherein the intermix is at least 30 weight percent of the composition and wherein the intermix is an inorganic filler that greatly reduce or eliminate debris resistance when compared to other polymer backbone compositions.
