The setting system includes inner and outer setting mandrels and a slip collar. The inner setting mandrel is located around at least a portion of the tool mandrel and includes a frustoconical outer surface. The outer setting mandrel is located around at least a portion of the inner setting mandrel and includes a frustoconical inner surface. The slip collar is located around at least a portion of the outer setting mandrel and includes a plurality of tabs and each tab includes gripping elements.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a well tool device (1) comprising a housing (10) having an axial through bore (11). A sleeve section (20) is releasably connected to the housing (10) in the through bore (11). The sleeve section (20) comprises an axial bore (21) and a frangible disc (30) provided in the bore (21) of the sleeve section (20) in sealing engagement with the sleeve section (20). The sleeve section (20) is axially displaceable within the bore (11) between a first position (P1) and a second position (P2). The housing (10) comprises an axial bypass fluid passage (12) provided axially between a first location (L1) above the sleeve section (20) to a second location (L2) below the sleeve section (20) when the sleeve section (20) is in the first position (P1). The axial bypass fluid passage (12) is provided radially between the sleeve section (20) and the housing (10) when the sleeve section (20) is in the first position (P1). The well tool device (1) comprises a sealing device (36) provided radially between the sleeve section (20) and the housing (10) when the sleeve section (20) is in the second position (P2).

    摘要: An assembly includes a housing of a production tubing including one or more housing ports around a housing circumference of the housing. The assembly also includes a sleeve including one or more sleeve ports around a sleeve circumference of the sleeve. The sleeve is moveable between a closed configuration in which at least a portion of the sleeve is positionable to cover the housing ports of the production tubing and an open configuration in which the sleeve is positionable such that the sleeve ports provide fluid communication between the production tubing and an annulus in a wellbore. Further, the assembly includes a shoulder positioned at an uphole edge of the sleeve to apply an opening force to the sleeve to change the sleeve from the closed configuration to the open configuration.

    摘要: A technique facilitates utilization of a packer (34) in a borehole (32) or within other tubular structures. The packer may be constructed for mounting about a generally tubular base pipe (36). The packer generally comprises a metal sleeve (40) combined with extremities (44) located at each axial end of the metal sleeve. The metal sleeve (40) maintains a seal once expanded to a surrounding wellbore wall, e.g. a casing wall. For example, the metal sleeve (40) may be combined with an elastomer along its exterior, the elastomer sealing against the surrounding wellbore wall when the metal sleeve is radially expanded. Additionally, a device, e.g. a valve (62), is employed to control the pressures acting on the metal sleeve. For example, the device may be in the form of a valve operable (62) to control pressures acting on the metal sleeve (40) while miming-in-hole, during expansion of the metal sleeve, and after setting of the packer.

    摘要: A downhole tool comprises a hollow body having a wall and a port in the wall, and a closing sleeve movable relative to the body to open and close the port. A seal is provided between the body and the sleeve and is configured to hold differential pressure. An isolation member may be deployed in the tool to isolate the seal from differential pressure and close the port. The isolation member may be deployed following initiation of a tool activation process, a successful outcome of the process being translating the closing sleeve and closing the port, and positioning the seal to hold a differential pressure. If it is detected that the outcome has not been achieved, the isolation member is deployed to isolate the seal from differential pressure and close the port.

    摘要: A downhole deployment and isolation system may be used to deploy a completion string, service the well, and isolate the lower completion string, optionally in a single trip. The lower completion string may be run into the well with a valve in an open condition, such as a ball valve propped open by a mandrel. The mandrel may be operable to both disconnect the work string from the lower completion string and to close the valve upon disconnecting such as by removing the mandrel from the ball. The valve may be remotely reopened with fluid pressure form surface.
